If it's legit, then one of the participants is the product development director for the entire company.

Which means the entire company is shit. It was already suspected after they picked up the KC developer, but this confirms it.

that Hitman 2 patch sounds great.
Just played the legacy pack, and some of the locations have really terribly low contrast

How can a company and its people be such dimwits? There is no way they survive this.

A whole lot of nothing:

Dude's 100% going to be out of a job

For that excuse to have the smallest miniscule of weight, he should have had to NOPE'd after seeing what the website was.

However, he stayed there for a while and actually went through conversations that had more than questionable stuff and only left due to outside factors.

Yeah, he is only sorry he got pushback and I don't really fucking trust any of THQ, less when probably some of the other top leaders of THQ Nordic where in the QA.

Crazy that THQ would do this after crawling back from death.

It's mind blowing that people still think this. THQ was literally disolved and everything they owned sold off to paid debts. They no longer exist, they didn't come crawl back from death, they are long gone.

There's this European company called Nordic, known for publishing tons and tons of shovelware over the years. They bought many of the THQ properties and then rebranded themselves after the latter. They are the company that just keeps buying tons of minor/obscure IPs and studios without a proper plan on what to do with them. They are the company that put out a port of a Nintendo DS game on the PS4 that managed to run worse than on the original ARM CPU from the early 00's. They are the company that put out Darksiders 3 and some awful remakes of the originals. And now they are doing an AMA on 8chan.

But I guess that's the power of a name. They are called THQ Nordic, and someone who doesn't pay enough attention will think they are the old THQ from back when.

Well, Larian is smarter than me - there are several quick save slots that rotate in DOS. Tragedy averted.

This game is really hard, tho.

What is the DS game in question?

I think their plan is to buy these minor and obscure IPs because it seems profitable for them.

Semi related I guess. But, I wonder what is gonna happen if THQ Nordic ever goes under. They are buying up so much stuff. It would be a shame to lose some of these devs / IPs.

I think they're referring to Lock's Quest.
Lock's Quest, a tower defense game that usually shows up in underrated game lists for the system, which I guess was why they pushed for the port.

Thanks!

Strange that the plethora of emotions didn't involve a fucking google search before even thinking of doing this.

Whoops, I ACCIDENTALLY landed on this site that's banned from google for hosting child pornography. But how was I, being the PR&marketing director, supposed to know this?

It was not only the PR manager, their Business & Product Development Director was also there. This one not only one rogue employee fucking it up.

Is the community and news feed showing up for a game in Steam's library? It stopped showing yesterday and I'm wondering if it might be another change due to the upcoming UI update.

Sorry for the delayed update I was out of the office yesterday but as of now your issue has been sent to the Forza Horizon team (they have been helpful in the past with various store issues) and my current manager has it as well and is looking to see if any of his store contacts are still around.

I will keep you posted and probably PM you privately if any more information is needed. PM me as well if you find a fix as the Forza team would probably be interested.

In general I would say that the issue extends to any large game (including their demos) on the windows store. Smaller apps install just fine.

Honestly I don't think the problems are in their purview at all. It's either with the ms store or the windows update backend it uses.

I might be better off posting this in a PC troubleshooting thread but it seems somewhat relevant here.

This is a vague issue, but I've noticed that my almost brand new pretty high end PC drops a lot of framerate in games, even little indie games, if I have any kind of video running on my other monitor: Twitch, YouTube, or an episode of something on VLC even. More so than my older PC seemed to be affected. I've tried messing around with some settings in the browser / VLC and even task manager priorities (which still seems to do nothing). Has anyone run into or solved a similar issue?

Are you playing in exclusive fullscreen or windowed fullscreen?

That whole Nordic situation, yikes.

In other news, I finished Evoland 2. Kind of don't have strong feelings one way or another. It's fine.
They doubled down on the gimmick and there's more game here now, but what really drags it down is that a lot of the different gameplay sections are kind of poor versions of the things they are referencing. And some of them last too long.
Some of the stuff in the anomaly dungeon was pretty neat though, felt like the one really good (and original?) idea in the game. Sylph forest played well to the game's core strengths as well.

I'm assuming the April 9 date for Ace Attorney Trilogy is also true for PC? Can't find an announcement anywhere?

Check your PM. Advice from Forza team to try. Yeah it can be many things but as a product owner our teams still have some ownership in helping people play games.

No blame game, we just want to help people play games.

After reading the advice of a post earlier in this thread, I replaced my G-sync approved freesync monitor with its equivalent IPS model. I was expecting it to go smoothly, and I am surprised to find flickering and stuttering in the same games I played on the older TN version.

TenaciousD Is this unusual? I thought these issues were only on crappier monitors.

Damn, lol, the THQ Nordic thread already has nearly 2,000 replies.

The gif isn't accurate. The goalie would have to actually shoot the ball, then start to celebrate, then slow down and look embarrassed into the camera.
This was no mistake, multiple staff members wrote actively in that thread, and joked about it all. They knew what they were doing, and they knew what crowd they were playing with. it's only the why of it that i don't get.
