I'll consider a 2TB then. I think I can fit it in my budget. The Full tower for three things... I do like bully cases, airflow, and I can manage the insides better. Now if you have any Midsize suggestions that are easy to work with and good airflow I am definitely in.
I think it depends on if you need (1) stuff like a 5.25" bay or (2) a variety of 2.5"/3.5" internal drives. Full ATX is good for those. But if you just want airflow and cable management something like the Meshify C or P400A or even the Thermaltake case above are better bets. They are midtowers that use full ATX motherboards, but have great side grommets and room in the back for proper cable management, along with pre-installed straps (at least, on the Meshify C)
The downside with these smaller cases is they are very limited in terms of bigger drives. I have a single 3.5" HDD in mine (along with the NVMe) but the Meshify C only has two trays. If you dump the drive tray entirely there is a huge amount of room behind the shroud to work with.
I mean, here's mine:
I've cleaned it up a bit more since then (I am running 5x RGB fans, it got a bit crazy...) but that fits a 3600, full ATX X570 board, GTX 970, etc...
I was just looking into it cause I got a 144hz monitor and while I have no illusion that not every game I will be able to reach that- I did not even some games like League of Legends was struggling to keep a locked 144hz fps at 1440p. So I'm trying to look for that boost that might make the experience a lot more consistent.
Well, 144fps might be tough, but do you have freesync enabled? Anyway beyond that, you're right that it would help a little bit. But only a little; after that you're either in the market for a new GPU or a reduction in graphics settings.
