I was under the impression that Obsidian wasn't doing too well financially right? I can understand their decision.
I never saw the purchase button for Control in the first place.Control's already on Steam, so...
EDIT: Oh fuck me, purchase button's gone. Wow.
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/the-outer-worlds-and-control-will-launch-on-the-epic-store-not-steam/I need more details if these are exclusive or just 1 year deals. That gameinformer article is bare.
The Outer Worlds is not even coming to Steam...damn...I guess I will choose the lesser of the 2 evils for The Outer Worlds then, EGS...but I am not happy about it! Steam has so much functionality and years of proven stability and performance. EGS has none of that!
does it surprise you?So... Epic did not simply paid for exclusiveness, it pay just so it doens't launch on Steam specifically?
It's a Take-Two Private Division game.But Outer Worlds is a Microsoft game now?! I don't get it.
I also haven't heard of any of the other games.
Obsidian clarified that it will come to Steam and everywhere else after a year. The Outer Worlds is not even coming to Steam...damn...I guess I will choose the lesser of the 2 evils for The Outer Worlds then, EGS...but I am not happy about it! we can be excited about it... a year laterFans should be excited for Outer Worlds no matter what launcher pops up when you click its icon.

I wonder when the gamepress will start calling these deals what they truly are - Moneyhats...Backed by its generous revenue split and Epic's strong relationships within the games industry, the fledgling Epic Games Store
Oh yeah...forgot about that acquisition. No wonder The Outer World isn't coming to Steam...

Someone should update the OP with the word exclusive, it's not coming to Steam. They said the games are exclusive for at least a year. Also The Outer Worlds is launching on the Microsoft Store.
I think they're saying that you can buy TOW from both EGS and the Windows Store for the year after launch, THEN its available on Steam, no? It's Epic's moneyhat?
