I'm stupid for being excited but I am. Can't wait to see all the old crew again.

Why would you watch a behind the scenes you are not interested in? Don't think this is meant to be a Normal trailer
God forbid they cater everything to your interests.
What are you even implying then? Should the video not exist since you're not interested?
Then why fucking watch it
I'm guessing none of ya'll were watching the Gamescom opening night show this dev diary premiered on. That's what the poster ya'll are dunking on was referring to

Never played a Dragon's Age game but thought this looked interesting despite clearly being a ways off.

From a studio that has an enormous amount to prove after Anthem - this is a bit embarrassing

Im sorry but this is getting ridiculous... this is now even worse then CG trailers premieres.
I understand we are minimum 2 years away from this, but honestly at a this point a rather they say nothing.

LOOKS COOL!

Free idea: bring back the Hero of Ferelden. Allow us to customize their appearance similar to Hawke's reappearance.

But because of all the various personalities the HoF could have, make it so that the Hof has 1 aloof, serious, somewhat sinister personality.

Because the HoF has been possessed by the Architect, who bursts out of their body, like Corypheus did.

Holy shit, they got Luke on camera.

Hopefully they decide to close out the story with this one. I think the time has past for the current arc, especially with all the team members they've lost along the way.

It was a 4-minute video on a 2-hour show that is supposed to cast a wide enough net to have something for everybody. Complaining about something not suiting your taste is silly.

No, I have that stream open. It's still a nonsensical statement.

I don't give two shits about world of warcraft, but i'm not going to rage on about how this animated comic thing is too long and pointless. I'm sure there are some people out there that are digging it.

Is that like, an action RPG camera angle? What is happening? They really need to get back to the tactical pause and position combat a la BG 1/2/DA:O, but I really doubt that will happen again. Really can't have any faith in Bioware anymore, especially in a post-Larian day and age.

I liked Inquisition and loved Trespasser but I have very little faith in this. A lot of Bioware has left, the game has changed lead designers multiple times, modern Bioware doesn't exactly have a great track record, the game sounds like it's been in development hell and iirc the only reason it was announced was because they were scared EA was gonna scrap it.

""What happens when the people in charge aren't willing to address the issues."

Well...that certainly hits close to home.

Personally, I hope so.

Unlikely though with xbox pushing the dual gen thing though.
They can't force devs to support old consoles. Inquisition was cross-gen only because it was released too early into the generation, this one is most likely next gen only, given it's around 2 years away at the least.

And they regretted making it cross gen if I remember correctly, only 10% of the sales were last gen

I want it to be 2022 title, that would be 8 years since DA:I. But after Anthem and Andromeda, they should take all the time they need for this game to be good...

That was a whole lot of nothing 😂. Anything they mentioned or showed here can be changed/removed.

There are so many great western RPGs now that Bioware's diet cola versions of WRPGs seem irrelevant.

Yeah. And optimizing Inquisition for last-gen consoles must have been a pain, because of all the advanced graphical features the game featured for its time. The PS3/X360 versions just look awful.

I thought Bioware said they were going to look to the old games for inspiration. Have this focused on what the fans of the old games want....

This...looks like a further evolution in the Inquisition direction, closer to a assassin's creed/souls type gameplay :/

Someone called it a while ago and I forgot who but the faction you're going to be a part of is absolutely the Lords of Fortune.

Inquisition is a beautiful game (overall) despite the cross-gen dilemma. I can't wait to see what the team cranks out for 4.

I'm currently doing my 1291232th replay of Inquisition so it's so nice to hear news about this. Where the story left off is super intriguing and its been a long 6 years. Inquisition really cemented Dragon Age's art style so I can't wait to see even more of it.

They are never going back to the old gameplay or anything even close, i think people should give up on that pipe dream.

After the whole Anthem thing I get why they would show a project that is far away from going gold. But man what a boring showcase in your big games announcement stream.

Heavily featured in Tevinter Nights, and BioWare loves releasing a book to foreshadow the next Dragon Age (e.g. The Masked Empire), so that's very likely, yeah. And it's good, it allows them quite a lot of freedom as far as the story goes. Hopefully origins are back too.

That music. Bliss.

I want BioWare to have as much time as they need. Andromeda and Anthem were crippled by late reboots and hard release dates. Let's see what the team can do when they actually have time.

All of the gold the companions are wearing is a dead giveaway, honestly the most exciting thing for me here is them seemingly investing big cities. DAI was all wilderness and the concept art reflected it.
