...Is it wrong that I think it actually looks further along than I thought it was?

Also I look forward to punching Solas in the face.

Thank god I can finally point something at people when they say the game was silently cancelled rather than asking them to take my word for it.

Oh man I loved every second of this. I seriously can't wait for this game. Please be at most two years away. I miss dragon age so much.

The way they talk about player choice still seems really simplistic to me. Especially in a post Disco Elysium/Witcher 3 world

Lots of really cool details there - my guess is that lineup is the main party. If so Qunari mage, some sort of spirit... voice acting for a Grey Warden, at least, but who knows if he's a party member.

Description of the plot and some of the concept art makes me think the Tevinter setting is right - I spotted Dorian in one piece of concept art. And it gives me DA2 vibes which, from a storytelling perspective at least, is a good thing.

I'm cautiously optimistic that this will actually come out now!

Looks like the combat will be full on action. I kinda like that direction more than the half assed systems they've been going for with the last two games.

As long as they provide some closure to the story of Solas, and don't muck it up, I'll be happy.
Would also be nice not to drawn in microtransactions, or any other GAAS bullshit, but that's probably asking for too much.

I would do anything for a Dragon Age collection... But I guess if that were announced before a Mass Effect one people would riot.

I mean, good to get a basic "it still exists" update, but that really was a lot to say nothing.
They literally showed footage of the game, though. And actors recording their lines. And gave a gist of the kind of story they're going for. And showed tons of concept art.

It's not saying nothing.

Tevinter's the dealio. And yeah, they quietly revealed multiple characters via voice actor lol.

I've got DA: Inquisition installed on my PS4, ready to replay it when the new game is in reach. I still believe in you Bioware!

Hopefully they can make an actual role-playing game this time, especially considering how many actually great RPGs have come out since Inquisition.

I doubt they will though.

Strange how they are in preproduction but have voice acting happening now? Thought that was done closer to the end of production

Damn I was really hoping for 2021, but no way after seeing that
EA has already said that they're expecting it to release after 2022:

During their recent earnings call, Blake Jorgensen, EA's financial director said: "You should assume that there's Dragon Age out there, we've talked about it publicly that it's in the works – it probably comes after fiscal [year] 2022,".
