The Most Beautiful Console Boxes/Packaging Design

I never liked the box or marketing for the Xbox 360. I always felt there was a lack of focus and that the system had no mission statement.
funny that their current system doesn't have a camera. or music playback.
or messaging of any kind.
It's the PS2 and it's not even kind of close. Second - regardless of what it is - is a distant, distant second.
I remember when this came out in 1993- consoles didnt used to be behind glass at stores like walmart, so i opened the NES 101 box up, that was cool. I liked the price too at 49$, but me and my brother already had the SNES by then.

The console itself was a thing of beauty as well. Matte, clean lines and simple.

For me, it really was the PS2 box. Just clean and pure elegance.
the ps2 and ps4 20th anniversary boxes are the most boring and uninteresting boxes of all time. its just blank with a logo on. wow.

Except IMO it makes it seem more like some weird multimedia device and not a video game system (with those things added).
But I guess by the time the DSi came out everyone knew what a DS was.

Fucking FIRE.PS2 box for sure. But I'm also very partial to the Japanese N64 box. Those colors, they speak to me.

Long story short, a managing director got popular from a dreamcast commercial and Sega put his face on the box to sell more Dreamcasts

Sorry but this is awful and not as sleek as most of the others posted here. Nostalgia is playing a huge factor when it comes to the 360's box, because It's not even the best Xbox box:

I have this one but sadly a big portion of the slide cover is delamenated (so basically the mid portion of her helmet visor art is missing). Still happy to have it though as it was a CIB gamecube for $35.
I've always liked this one since I got it. It's actually a slide on cover that goes over the original packaging.
I guess I'm crazy but I don't see what is special about the PS2 box. It's minimal sure but just seems boring. I'm not a fan of any of the PS5 boxes or accessory boxes either so I have no taste.
Those are the exact boxes i still have here in my room. The simplicity of the PS2 blue box really makes it especial.There's just something about these two... Just perfect.

I really love the Super Famicom, PS2, Dreamcast, and the gold Sega Saturn boxes. Just great stuff.
A lot of the limited edition console boxes are better than the GR ones, but I've always been partial to the GT3 A-Spec PS2 bundle box.
