Wasn't this pretty much already suggested when they went on vacation together in Sunshine? We'll never see them age or get married, queen Peach doesn't quite have the same ring to it like princess Peach.
What if Daisy is the "villain?" Set all this up to get Luigi to spend time with her.
Nintendo would never ever do it but I'd be completely down with them going back to the classic pairing and making Pauline a thing again.
