Last time they did that (finishing shooting the final scene), The Last of Us was 6 months away. Wasn't the rumored release date on October 25th? ;) #Team2019
Great now each time there is a cut to black I will think it could be the end :p

Glad development is chugging along just fine, apparently. Looking forward to ultra violence and scissors love making.
What if there is no cut to black in between scenes. Just a seamless transition like that E3 gameplay reveal. 😯

That'd be a shame, TLoU did the cut to black so well between seasons.

Well, I realized that Benji also choose the 2019. : )

Lol, it's kinda brutal & funny at the same time considering this in-game story scene context to T-Pose.

It's not uncommon to write 'Cut to Black' at the end of a script (it's that or Fade Out). It does mean they intend to suddenly cut, but it can very well happen in a shot that feels way much more 'closing' than the one in the original.

I hope for this year but I'm feeling it may launch in 2020 for cross gen on PS5 launch.

This year seems very weak for me, only Gears 5, Doom and MW4 so far which I know for sure will be purchases.

It's all speculation at this point, I just simply feel it's coming this year. Death Stranding will probably take that Feb 2020 slot, and GoT to follow in April or Sept.
Well according to Cerny death starnding is cross platform release with ps4 and ps5 .so that's probably Oct 2020.GOT is a wild card have no idea when it launches .but if last of us also falls 2020 then Sony 2020 is insane .

With recent Facebook post about job opening claiming « help to finished out Ghost », I would say Ghost for March/April 2020

Death Stranding for June 2020 (or Sept if there is a real delay)

TLOU Part II in Oct/Nov 2019, just hope the crunch is not insane

The camera lingers on Joel as he processes Ellie's words. What is he thinking? Does he trust her? After a beat,

Joel: "OK."

Cut to black

The end

Late 2019 on PS4. Then released again on PS5.

Surprised people still think this is 18 months away. All the signs and leaks suggest 2019.

they are just waiting to get Days Gone out of their way and show more of TLOU II. 2019 seems possibile but I still think it will be out in Q2 of 2020.

I will say that the thought of all of the big 3 releasing in 2020 does seem rather absurd as well. As I do imagine Sony will have at least one other big game to announce and launch with the PS5. And no publisher with any business sense is going to release a string of huge games with massive sales and critical acclaim too close together. It wouldn't make sense sales wise and would likely leave us a large drought as there are only so many other studios in a position to release games soon after the big 3 plus whatever is PS5 launch window.
