I wasn't aware the ESRB had introduced that. Can you name some examples? I don't trust their standards to capture enough.
From what I can find, you can count the games with Sexual Violence descriptor in one hand. Ground Zeroes is probably the most notable. Their rating summary for GZ includes:
"The game includes an audio file in which a female character is sexually assaulted by male characters".

Looking their description and tags for The Phantom Pain, they don't count attempted rape as sexual violence. Their standard is garbage then.
"There is one scene depicting a woman being strangled and drowned by a soldier. The sound of pants being unbuckled and pulled down can be heard after the strangulation."

There's an optional bit on a train were two soldiers are trying to rape a woman. If you don't save her they accidently kill her before they can carry out the the act.

I mean it's not a graphic depiction of a rape but it still seems like it should qualify for the sexual violence category.

I'm not sure about what goes on in that visual novel, but in Ground Zeroes you can hear a cassette tape of Paz having her clothes ripped off and eventually raped. So, while you never see it, they make it very clear what's going on through the audio. Was the Metro Last Light scene like that, or more like the scene in TLoU between Ellie and David?

Some of the infected had huge dicks in their former lives, it's only natural that we'd see them flopping violently in checkerboard 4K now that they're on the other side of things. Verisimilitude, my people.

But seriously guys and girls, get any spores checked out.

Reeaaallly not confident about TLOU 2
And Cyberpunk pushing the envelope this way on a tasteful way. The hammer scene from their earlier trailer was unwarranted and the language in Cyberpunk seems like some try hard shit.

Hopefully Naughty Dog proves me wrong.

Rape is out of question without the Sexual Violence description. A few years ago only two games ever got that. One was some visual novel and the other was Ground Zeroes.

I'm surprised Heavy Rain didn't have it. I seem to remember at least a near-rape scene.

We do see shadowy dick in the last trailer so not surprising. And also, rape is definitely coming into play.

What trailer had the shadowy dick?

Ugh, I forgot about that.

Oh wow, yeah, they should change that. :/

I'm confident the Sexual Content descriptor is between Ellie and Dina though. I read somewhere that they make out again in a rundown library after a lot of flirting/teasing and that it's a very hot and heavy makeout session (a LOT more than their first kiss) that looks to be heading somewhere before the press got introduced to the Seattle demo lol.

I imagine we won't see any of the main characters nude, but Ellie's GF would be the most likely one for scenes that humanize her before, well we all expect her to get killed at some point in the game

Last of Us 2 is going to be the next RDR2 in term of scope/small details in the game. Not even Cyberpunk is going to top that

It's doesn't show anything because the woman dies before they get a chance to do it but they are pretty heavily implying to the woman that they're about to rape her and telling her to stop fighting back and spread her legs.

There's nothing graphic in the link here but I'll spoiler it cus I assume others won't wanna see it.

Obviosuly it isn't on the same level as the Ground Zeroes stuff but I still would have thought it'd be counted as sexual violence as well. Just purely in terms of an ESRB rating.

The reveals from Cyberpunk actually unconvinced me, if anything (though to be fair, maybe it's my own fault for expecting something more GitSAC).

That being said, I don't understand the massive acclaim CDProjekt receives for their "maturity" and writing prowess. Witcher (particularly 3) has its moments, but it also has plenty that is incredibly juvenile and embarrassing. That puts them head and shoulders over a lot of the games industry, but only in the games industry because the bar is in hell.

I'm guessing there will be nude zombies and a cutscene showing something post-sex. Honestly, Naughty Dog's treatment of female characters has historically been something they've been praised for so I trust whatever they'll include will be tasteful.

Same. I wouldn't be worried.

And damn, I just recalled the naked female Clicker that Dina shoots in the trailer!

Ellie and Dina apparently also find a stash of porn with very LOL titles.

Guessing it'll be an intimate scene with Ellie and Dina with no nudity. And then we'll see some dong later in the game.

Kind of want but also think it could turn out poorly, also the strong possibility of Dina dying and other bullshit.

Doubtful, the kiss from the E3 trailer is already more passionate than any actual sex scene i've seen in a game just due to the animation making it look like two characters actually touching instead of weird puppet animation that you typically see with kissing scenes.

Hard disagree. There are levels to M rated games. For example Oblivion and Halo don't have content I would find questionable for kids yet one was re-rated to M and the other up until recently was historically M rated.
If it's M rated when it shouldn't be M rated that's different. My only argument is that children should not be getting their hands on video games that are the equivalent of R rated movies
