It depends on how much they're going to show. If it's nothing more than something like them kissing and possibly removing their shirts, then the simple "Sexual Content" listing would qualify for that.
We do see shadowy dick in the last trailer so not surprising. And also, rape is definitely coming into play.
Not feeling the whole mature thing on this game...
First, they claim the extreme violence has a context. Now nudity and sexual themes.
I do trust Naughty Dog, but this is starting to feel like... too much I guess....
In the meantime... let's wait and see what Druckman is about to do.
Kids shouldn't be playing M games
It's more likely it comes from using a human rape scene as a character motivation/instigator than random topless fungus zombies.
What the fuck for?

I was about to say, Naughty Dog has had one of the most infamous nude scenes for decades."First Naughty Dog game to feature nudity"
Rings of Power on Genesis via topless code begs to differ.
Were you expecting ponies and rainbows in a post apocalyptic game?
The horror, nudity and sexual themes in the medium's equivalent of an R-rated movieNot feeling the whole mature thing on this game...

Rape is out of question without the Sexual Violence description. A few years ago only two games ever got that. One was some visual novel and the other was Ground Zeroes.
This is basically the extent of the "Nudity" that will be in the game. The character is "naked" but lighting/camera angles will obscure any anatomical details. People thinking (hoping?) for explicit dicks-out stuff are weird.
My assumption was that shot was edited or carefully selected for the trailer. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see genitalia in that scene in the actual game, don't have much context for what is happening there but if they're going to have a guy stripped naked in full shot I don't see them being afraid to show nudity. I think that would be enough without anything else to get these tags if that is the case too. Don't really see the need for wild speculation from some people.Nah, it's going to be more than that because what you're describing would get a partial nudity description. "Nudity" under the ESRB is used for what they describe as "Graphic or prolonged depictions of nudity".
At least a few Giraffes. Were you expecting ponies and rainbows in a post apocalyptic game?
This thread is a really good example of the whole "Americans are more afraid of sex than violence," thing.
Naughty Dog can base pretty much their entire early marketing campaign around brutal uncut violence and nobody cares but when there's even a hint that there might be some sexy times (there won't be) there's cause for a thread and a news story on the matter.
Were you expecting ponies and rainbows in a post apocalyptic game?
Is that true? I can think of a ton of games even back then that featured pretty clear sexual violence (Metro Last light for example).
can't be that crazy if they plan to release it in the US and want to sell decently
I guess we both live in Brazil so... we do have a lot of problems. (Nice avatar by the way)
My fear is to tackle on so many themes vaguely. The first game manage to approach sexual harassment and sexuality in a very interesting way with Ellie and Bill.
To mix more themes demands more caution. But again... I do trust Naughty Dog handle this.
That's pretty disingenuous considering the early trailers prompted much discussion of their portrayals of violence. This thread is a really good example of the whole "Americans are more afraid of sex than violence," thing.

age ratings are a thing that affect sales numbers, aren't they? I mean, of course mature content can be successful (I think the porn industry is worth more than Hollywood) but I don't think Naughty Dog are targeting that kind of audience.Cus as we all know, nothing with nudity of any kind has ever been successful in the US.
There won't be. There's a separate Sexual Violence descriptor.Dear Lucifer and Naughty Dog, please no rape scenes in this game.
Strawman aside, I'm pretty sure people saying that always pointed out how it wasn't the case for western games and big budget ones (outside of the weird issue for DMCV).But I thought people on here said that Sony does not allow nudity anymore on PlayStation cause a bunch of anime games with really suspicious looking young characters got censored?!?!?
Here's the ESRB for Last Light
No Sexual Violence listing. What exactly was it? I remember playing through it, but I don't recall any rape scene.
There was a naked dude in the last trailer so that's probably it to be honest. As for sexual content, well Neil did say the story was somewhat inspired by The End of the F-ing World show and if you have seen that then you pretty much have a good idea about what kind of sexual content we might see.
I wasn't aware the ESRB had introduced that. Can you name some examples? I don't trust their standards to capture enough. There won't be. There's a separate Sexual Violence descriptor.
