*sigh* 18-29 year olds are the only group that significantly preferred Sanders
PP_2019.01.30_dem-values_1-01.png

It says there that 30-49 year olds prefer Sanders as well. Again, where in any of these numbers does it say that Sanders fans "couldn't be bothered to vote"? Do the voting numbers differ for the same demographics in any other election cycle?

That is WRONG. The media was saying that Biden was broke and that Biden's campaign was dead in the days leading up to Super Tuesday. Biden got the turnout and the black vote in South Carolina. That is what saved him -- not the democratic establishment.

why bother arguing with brick walls? literally nothing gets through.

I'm still shocked that America chose this guy with his many flaws and fuck-ups over someone like Bernie.

Bernie's inability to get a sizable lead in a field full of decaying hasbeens and snake oil sellers proves that his 2016 support was as much against Hilary as it was for him. He's losing to the decaying remains of Biden despite a massive advantage in fundraising, even in states where Biden barely had any campaign infrastructure. This is despite the fact that exit polls show a majority of support for M4A (and even socialism in some states) and Bernie being the most liked senator in America.

He's just not that good of a candidate. People like him and believe in his message but just don't think he can win--and he hasn't changed enough minds on that. I say that despite donating to his campaign monthly and planning on voting for him (even though our primary is likely too late to matter).

Thus the general election will be between a senator caught on video being creepy as fuck with women and girls multiple times vs. an admitted groper who hung out with Epstein and has multiple credible rape allegations against him. One may be more palatable than the other; neither is inspiring.

The lineup of candidates this year was absolutely pathetic.

trump is a rapist. Bernie wrote an article about women fantasizing about rape. Biden...has personal space issues.

What he is accused of is unwelcome and he should apologize, but I think this is being blown up a bit out of proportion, especially considering his competitors foibles.

If you think a stutter and a kiss on the back of the head makes him unelectable in the face of Trumps failures of the English language and pussy grabbing, you need to get some new material.

How come everyone else lost to Biden, then?
Merely losing to Joe Biden is not the barometer of whether or not someone can win against Donald Trump in an election.

Bernie has very high favorability among likely Democratic voters. Bernie not being the number one choice for some voters in the primary is not an indication of whether or not they would have turned out for him in the general election.

In order to beat Trump, we need not just democrats, but moderate republicans to vote as well. There are many republicans who are not happy with Trump, but would never vote for Sanders. The biggest part of Sanders' base, young adults, did not turn out for him and will not turn out on election day in November either.

People give way too much credence to Twitter regarding anything tbh

I actually think people don't give Twitter enough credit. I just think the idea some grandma cares what Peter Coffin thinks is in the same vein as maga heads claiming that being told racism is bad made them a trump supporter.

Nice to see that women's voices stop meaning anything once partisan politics gets in the way.

It's nothing new. Remember when people here were arguing that Al Franken shouldn't resign over his own sexual harassment scandal, because it might open his seat up for a Republican to grab? Sexual harassment is bad when Republicans do it, but when Dems do it, you have to vote for them anyway, or you hate women or something. (And what a shock: it only took 3 pages before that same shit cropped up in this thread.)

"People expecting Democrats to also do bad things are stupid leftists," comes in a close second, and is a mod endorsed genre. Didn't see much of it in that Hawaii governor thread, for some reason.

Funny how once you run for president in this country you're pretty much untouchable. If you're a man that is.

It's crazy that people are already arguing about the Iowa caucuses and youth turnout or whatever in this thread, like this is what this story is about. God I hate this primary process so much.

It doesn't even matter, Biden is going to be the nominee and I seriously doubt that a person who decide who to vote for in the general by how likely the candidate is to sexually assault someone is going to vote for Trump. I also doubt a whole lot of people make that decision based on that.
This whole thing is depressing.
It's not about "electability", or at least it shouldn't be, it's about how powerful men get away with such shit, and I think if our first instinct is "yeah but how will it play in the suburbs of Wisconsin in November?" they will keep getting away with this.

Me Too will be over after this election imo. How could anyone feel comfortable coming out after everything all the public victims went through just to see two creepy guys with credible sexual assault allegations against them run for president

???????????????

What part is wrong there? The primary is done. Anyone other than Sanders would have dropped out by now because their donations would have dried up, but Sanders preys upon people that live in a media bubble and aren't experienced enough with previous primaries to see that Biden is basically the presumptive nominee at this point.

Have fun pretending to have principles lmao

The moral superiority of refusing to do the bare minimum.

The public relations firm that works on behalf of the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund is SKDKnickerbocker, whose managing director, Anita Dunn, is the top adviser to Biden's presidential campaign. A spokesperson for Biden declined to comment. The SKDK spokesperson assigned to Time's Up referred questions back to the NWLC.

The same Anita Dunn

Yikes. Antia Dunn is absolutely the wrong person to be running Biden's campaign

Could be a real liability once the media starts its predictable both sides dance.

Not surprised this the nominee the Democrats picked since they somehow always seem to screw things up when given an easy win.

Because the alternative was Sanders. An awful candidate who surrounds himself with even worse people. Honestly both Sanders and Biden should have stood down this year but this is what we have now. Also fuck the Intercept, not necessarily because of this story but rather because they are Russian propaganda.

Is this satire?

Fake edit: Guess not.

It's almost like we all knew how creepy and touchy he was and instead of investigating to make sure there wasn't something more there, we all laughed it off and said Oh Silly Uncle Joe! Haha!

I wonder what would happen if Biden won the primary, then had to withdraw because one or more allegations ended up with really indisputable receipts? Like how do you draft a viable candidate with a couple of months to go? Maybe we just get any half decent person with charisma under the age of 60 to do it.

maybe Clooney or Tom Hanks or Oprah.

This should be taken seriously and investigated further. I find it disgusting that people are trying to pivot in this topic to other candidates, as it is really just about Biden and his behavior. From what we've seen from him publicly, there's cause for concern; Biden has a terminal problem with refusing to respect personal space. It appears that this extends to private interactions. 7 accusations of inappropriate behavior so far?

Unfortunately in November voters will have to choose between two candidates, both of whom have been credibly accused of touching or abusing women. It's unconscionable in 2020.

Jesus that's bad. Biden isn't surrounding himself with good people so far.
