Not exactly. It apparently takes place at the same time as the remake.
When they look good, no. Gimme the horror.
You mean a remake of the already made American remake?
It's a remake of the American remake of the Japanese remake of the Japanese original.
Why do horror movies have the weirdest continuities? It's a remake of the American remake of the Japanese remake of the Japanese original.
Not exactly. It apparently takes place at the same time as the remake.
How? The 2004 Remake very like Japan Version (same directer and cast)Is this a remake of the remake?
Edit: nvm missed the above post. Weird.
takes place in the same concurrent timeline as the 2004 film of the same name, while also serving as the re-imagining of the American film series, which is based on the Japanese Ju-On films
The American Grudge was 15 years ago lol, I'm sure people have had time to breathe. Besides, in 15 years you get literally an entire new generation of audience that likely never saw the first one
It has to be better than the original remake, which I fucking hated, so it's got that going for it. I haven't even seen the Japanese original so it's got nothing to do with that, the original remake was just nonsensical horse shit and a waste of however much I paid for the ticket. Maybe watching it again this many years later would change my opinion, but fuck that movie.
This is becoming kingdom hearts complicated stuff. It's a remake of the American remake of the Japanese remake of the Japanese original.
lol I think half of Era would agree and half doesn't going by the Martin Scorsese threads. That's not Sarah Michelle Gellar. I'm willing to give this a shot, but I'm getting tired of every successful movie getting rebooted/reimagined. Is the industry that creatively bankrupt?
