About as many as last generation. Last generation I bought too many 360'ss between special editions and upgrades

PS4, Switch, and Xbox One S. The ONLY reason I initially purchased the Xbox One was because Sony decided to be assholes and not include UHD playback on the PS4. That being said, I've enjoyed the backward compatibility feature that allows me to play all of my old 360 (and occasional Xbox) games. The Xbox One is a really nicely designed system, but the lack of exclusives (assuming that you have a decent gaming PC, which I do) compared to my PS4 means that I rarely touch my Xbox One.

I can somewhat understand Wii U inclusion, 3DS and Vita just feel last gen to me. I also don't want to be the generation police here, I just don't understand these things.

Just a PS4 at the beginning of a gen and it served me well for those ~5 years (If we're counting the 3ds and Vita then my total is 3)

Handhelds usually are the first machines in a new generation.
PS4 Pro. I'm waiting for a console reiteration or price drop on Switch. I have a huge backlog and no need to get more games right now.
Normal PS4 and Original Switch. Easy-peasy. I considered getting a Pro from time to time but I don't have a 4k TV so I dithered long enough that I dropped the notion once the PS5 became more of a certainty.
