At this point it's like they're actively avoiding from doing a Japan game.
It's daft, it's been consistently asked for since the early days of the franchise

And it's made by a company that didn't have an executive that turned a blind eye to years of sexual harassment. So yeah, SP beat them to the punch and I'm OK with that.I don't really see the point now that Ghost of Tsushima exists and did AC better than Ubisoft has ever done.
They may as well come up with some entirely new.
So you're saying the solution to settings that have been done...is to use the most used setting of last gen??
I've had my fill of Japanese Feudal history games this gen, personally.
Would love a game set in Aztec or Inca empire at their heights.
Assassin's Creed is the Final Fantasy of the PS3/360 gen. It will never be wrapped up.At this point, I kinda just wish they'd do a modern AC game and wrap the series up. They obviously want to do more fantasy-style games, and distancing those from AC would give them more flexibility in terms of storylines instead of having to make sure they have elements of AC in everything.
This is the perfect apolitical setting for Ubisoft
No thank you, Japan is overplayed. I want a real India or Russia game.
An AC game based on the Cold War can be awesome. At this point, I kinda just wish they'd do a modern AC game and wrap the series up. Give me the 3 Kingdoms of Korea.
Or the Texas Revolution.
This sounds cool too.
XD
What are some historical dense cities that haven't been done yet? Honestly, I wouldn't be offended if they did a soft reboot in Renaissance Italy
A trilogy story based in popular cities around the world in the year 2020..
I was thinking that too. Constantinople has been done, but it was still in the "junior" scale of the 360-era AC games. That's why I'd be fine with revisiting any of the settings used in those early titles. The realistic scale changed everything starting with AC: UnityDoing a early days Byzantium game could be neat but Constantinople has been done.
What's with this obsession with japan? Is it a weeb thing?
Maybe do a culture of civilization that has been unrepresented in video games:
- mongol
- ottoman
- Indian (before colonization or even during)
A setting in the Kingdom of Kush during the times of Old Kingdom Egypt would be cool too... A Nubian story. This would be amazing. I was just talking with a friend about a Horizon game based in Sub-Saharan Africa but AC would be great too.
