Elevating to the same threat level as ISIS and allocating more resources are good steps.

But there still needs a way to charge these deplorables appropriately.

Investigators said they considered Hasson a domestic terrorist, but there are no such charges in the federal system. For that reason, the case was an example of the difficulty prosecutors face when law enforcement action may have prevented potential attacks. His lawyers, however, said the government vastly overstated the threat.
---------------
When Hasson was arrested nearly a year ago, investigators found documents at his apartment in which he described himself as being a white nationalist for more than 30 years. The FBI said he drafted a letter to a neo-Nazi leader, advocating "focused violence" to establish a white homeland. Investigators said he was a follower of Anders Behring Breivik, the far-right terrorist who killed 77 people in two coordinated attacks in Norway in 2011.

I mean if we're just talking about the threat they pose to America, I feel like white nationalists and neo nazis are way more of a threat than ISIS given that ISIS has literally never killed a single person on American soil, while neo nazis and their ilk have killed many

The way Wray is conflicting with Trump, I'd guess that Wray doesn't see himself as just another Trump lackey who is only here for the grift.

The FBI knows it has to keep existing after Trump is gone, and that white nationalism is a real threat that is being actively encouraged to turn into a highly active terrorist movement.

They cannot remain unprepared for white nationalists to start blowing up American cities, no matter how much Trump would be fine with that so long as it was cities in blue states that don't generate cultists for him.

Excellent. There is a lot of behind the scene crap they are plotting consistently. Im expecting to see some large busts in the news.

Wait, they elevated white supremacist organizations to the level they should've been at since terrorist threat levels were a thing? And they didn't pull any both-sides "black supremacist" bullshit too?

Well now.

Happy Black History Month.

Well now.

Happy Black History Month.

The bullshit is still there, but lumped together with white supremacists under "racially motivated violent extremism."

From last June:
WASHINGTON—The Federal Bureau of Investigation's director said the bureau has abandoned the term "black identity extremism" as part of a broad reconceptualization of how it thinks about racially motivated crime.
In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, FBI director Christopher Wray said the bureau has replaced an array of categories that it once used to describe and track violent extremism with the broader designation "racially motivated violent extremism."
The term "black identity extremism" drew scrutiny from civil rights leaders and others over concerns that it delegitimized activism against police violence and drew a false equivalence with white supremacy.
In a controversial move, the bureau has stopped characterizing white supremacy—which Democrats say poses a growing violent threat—as a separate category, considering all racially motivated violent extremism as a single broad category.

Glad to see FBI is still fighting Trump's America and not falling in line with him.

Unless anyone disagrees then they can inform me why.

When trump finds out about this 1-2 weeks from now I'm going to laugh.

This is great news, I'm sure he will.somehow attack this move against his people and make a bigger fool out of himself.

ISIS barely exists anymore, so it's much smarter to focus on neo nazi's who are a huge domestic threat, in fact they should have made them a national threat a long time ago, not sure why the FBI was pretending they didn't exist.

Finally.

Anyway, does this mean that the US will start bombarding their own states too? In search of white nationalist and neo-nazi leaders, of course.
