That's pretty badass. Now, if you don't like all those shows, obviously this isn't as big a deal for you. Of the three, I understand that Star Trek: Discovery is easily the most divisive of the bunch. Here on Era, like everywhere else on the internet, there have been arguments galore over the quality of that show. Whatever! I like it. But regardless, it's just a cool time for fans of this sort of setting. Do y'all remember this time last decade? The well was drying up big-time. The streaming world has changed all that.
Personally, I'm most excited for The Expanse, but whew -- weekly episode drops for all three is just heavenly. It reminds me of the old days, with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Babylon 5 airing every week. Or, years later, the time when Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica were one great, big, epic three-hour block on The Sci-Fi Channel. (Heck, Star Trek: Enterprise intersected with that time period, too.)
Are you a fan of this sort of setting? Are you looking forward to the returns of any of these shows? It just sort of reminds me of something my man John Crichton once said in Farscape. "Wait for the wheel." The wheel has spun, and we're back, space fans.
