Guys, for those who prefer a video guide over a picture, I made a quick video showing the locations and loot of the LZ named bosses for new and returning players. Sorry the first couple of minutes are abit slow I'm not that familiar with ShareFactory so didn't realise there was a speed up option until I started cutting clips.
I start at Amherts apartment as there's 2 to knock out right near each other.

15 bosses, 44 items, 1 exotic and 2 proficiency caches in total. Took under 30 minutes so pretty worthwhile for those trying to gear up or people wanting an extra way for the chance of an exotic or classified item as they both have the chance to drop from these enemies.

Edited to add, the bosses respawn every 4 hours.

As someone who bought the Gold Edition way back when, do I have access to everything in the OP, or do I have to buy one or two DLCs?

I stopped playing well before the first DLC hit.

Nice, I'll check the video in a bit. How often can these route be run with those reward potentials? I'm 275 atm and would like to start creeping a bit higher.

You should have it all. The only stuff you wouldn't have is any vanity dlc which you had to buy separately.

So no one has any advice on what builds to go for? Is there still anyone doing Division build guides/videos?

Having to complete all the boring ass side activities before I can take on HVTs is so ridiculous.

I gave up on this really early after launch. Just downloaded it again since 1.8 dropped. I'm guessing huge improvements since launch for this.

Hrm, are there any sets to aim for now? Or basically all the 6 piece sets are worth using?

I absolutely love the classified sets for Lone Star and Striker's. I mean you can still mix and match, create High-end/Exotic builds, etc but the 6-piece classified sets are the ones to shoot for, at least for me they are. You can re-roll two perks/stats on classified pieces and in combination with the optimization station you can really create some strong builds.

I'm just knee pads away from having a full classified Reclaimer set which another one of my favorites.

Classified sets basically come from the equivalent of weekly missions I guess? Can you still get them by avoiding DZ?

Also I guess there's no real build guide for lower world tiers right? Just get gear score as high as possible before trying to aim for sets an specific stat builds?

OMG there are masks

I remember lamenting that there was no way to cover your face in this game. So happy. Installing tonight.

Damn, I played myself. Bought the game on UPlay last night, instead of holding off for Steam today. Oh well, looking forward to seeing how the game has improved since launch.

I had a great time playing the divison. There were some issues and the reddit got a bit intense for awhile but always managed to enjoy myself.
As someone who hasn't played since the second dlc dropped looking forward to getting back into it.

Might have been covered (and sorry if it has as will read through this when out of work) but any tips or a link to a good write up of what to do to get geared up?

*Edit: Just saw a bunch of the videos and boss run videos posted on this page, thanks!

Lol so... I'm getting this as well now. I started to notice it while doing a 'switch' side mission in one of the areas just west of the Post Office. I'm on a 1060.
So I think the 1.8 update is causing this in some way. I have a 1070 and played 10 hours of 1.7 last week and it never happened once. 1.8 dropped, and since then it keeps happening to me too, Usually outside when the sky is bright.

I did this earlier following a map I printed. Next go around will def use your video - took me much longer than 30 mins :) Got 4 exotics for a full clear (1 a dupe)!!!

Do Classified armor pieces have a unique color/drop effect?

Classifieds are without a doubt the best combination IMO but they're mega rare and you really have to be committed in the Global Events to get a full set and be prepared to bite your fist when you open a GE cache and it either ends up being a non classified, a dupe, a gear set you're not interested in or even a combo of all 3 if you get a bonus item in the cache lol.

Don't think that gear sets are the be all end all neither. I'm currently using a high end/exotic build (aka HEXO or Hexotic) due to some of the bonuses from the high end pieces being more my play style.

Here's a quick break down and the stats speak for themselves, it shreds.

Firstly the gloves are an exotic item and the bonus on the gloves is Damage is increased by 16% when no gear set bonuses are active (ie a 2 piece bonus from 2 items of the same set) so the rest of the build is centred around this.

I'm using an exotic Barrets chest piece but a High end Vigorous chest piece here works just as well. Barrets offers a slight buff dependant on if you have skills on cooldown or not at all. However if you went with vigorous (the bonus is overheal on healing) you can use booster shot skill healing for a damage buff and still get a over heal as if you were using the overdose healing skill.

Specialised backpack, the bonus adds 200% of your firearms and stamina to skill power. So because I don't spec into skill power I still get reasonable skill power due to having speced into firearms so much.

A Tenacious mask, bonus: increase damage by 10% when using a med kit. Refreshed is also an excellent choice as well, all healing is improved by 30% when in your last health segment. So if you combine that with vigorous getting an overheal plus the extra 30% from refreshed you can be almost healed from low health using 1 med kit or healing skill.

The holster is a classified but only because it has a stat boost over the high ends. I was using a High End Nimble holster, bonus: heals you in increments when you do a cover to cover manouver.

You'll soon see that the bonuses on knee pads are pretty poor so that's why I use the short bow knee pads which decreases the fuse time on grenades. When farming I'll use a high end set which offers triple accolades on killing enemies to boost the xp up abit.

I've just got another pair of skull gloves during my run of named bosses in the open world so you do not need the dark zone or any exotic cache for these, these have a good drop rate just from these bosses so they're certainly worth doing. And then you can make your build around them.

Do Classified armor pieces have a unique color/drop effect?

Unfortunately not, they just have a little envelope at the side of its name. They are the same colour as gear sets which can be a bit annoying. You know if you will have a classified from a boss though as it drops as an extra item not a replacement so for example if you get 3 items from a named enemy in the LZ then one will be classified.

This is the folder I mean:

And this is a quick clip of how one looks when dropped from a named boss in the LZ

How weird, I have also just noticed that the above twitter video shows a classified dropping, the second pic shows an exotic dropping, the video I posted of the route I take on the named boss run shows an exotic dropping and they're all from the same guy!

So consensus is yes to the gold edition? Even if I'll mostly play solo? I know it's only $15 difference but I wonder if I'll even get a use out of the season pass stuff? Played the trial on both PC and PS4. Would rather have it on PS4 BUT the PC version is SO much better. Look, framerate, controls.

I got the Gold edition which came with DLC codes for two, expansions I believe. Does the season pass give access to anything else? Sorry, I haven't played this in over a year and I some seem to remember.

After getting locked out of Nightfall Strikes and a shit ton of other content, I'm considering picking this up to replace Destiny 2. Would like to hear more opinions from people just starting and those who are switching from Destiny 2 to this.

Gonna dive back in this weekend. I dipped in and out of the various updates over the months. Played enough to get a gear score of 256 but never really had a build going. Was using set bonuses but probably something terrible. It's not a bad issue but everytime I tried to play I sort of felt overwhelmed, never knew what was good or bad. Eventually my vault just ended up full of random stuff, then I stop playing, return, delete it all to start fresh and repeat.

Which is odd given I've played a metric tonne of diablo and have zero issues with the gearing and stats in that game which is very similar.

Wanted to get back into Division yesterday but having some real issues. Game freezes or drops really low in FPS now and then. I am gonna try to remove the game and reinstall it.

So I'm starting over. Played the game (somewhat obsessively) when it came out, up to around falcon lost. I've changed country since then and moved my ps+ subscription to another profile. Gear on the chars in my previous profile were pretty poo by now anyways.

Do we have other people starting from scratch on PS4?

The discord in the OP is very, very quiet.

Thanks for the video. It's very helpful. What guns are you using, you're melting people lol

Primary: Urban MDR exotic assault rife, the bonus of this is increase damage out put on enemies under an effect (bleed, shock, fire etc) hence why I throw the seeker mine at the start to get the damage buff.

Secondary: MP7 with responsive (more damage up close) , deadly (bonus critical hit damage) and competent (bonus damage for your weapon when using a skill).

They're mainly built around crit chance and crit damage, iirc my crit chance is 47% and crit damage around 135%

Is M1A and Vector still the meta? lol

When I tried using SMGs against elites, it was like I was using a water gun.

Didn't play since the first piece of content that dropped (think it was the underground).
This seems more of the same, honestly surprised they hadn't even expanded the PvE map before that to give it more of a feel of the original trailer. I mean the trailer says they just recycled the same 3 enemy clans, put them together and they come at you in waves? What's really new?

A lot of the space seems to be have been used for the DLC at least.

I know Central Park was in the original game, because you could clip out of the map to explore the unfinished areas... I assumed that you go through it in one of the DLCs.

The Internet
Yeah, it's nice to have a Division community to hang out in. Hopefully a good place to find fellow PC players who don't play with constant open mics picking up their TV, Radio and domestic arguments in the background!
