Played a couple more hours and no crashes at all. :) Think my DX12 woes are finally behind me. Thank you expansion.
Step 1: Go to recalibration station, click on recalibration library. Extract the good attribute stat (this destroys the item). They are lvl30 but I'm also lvl30(at gs510). I havent bought the expansion yet
Is there any real reason to after the commendations, aside for the patches? I never really payed attention to them actually but they seem fairly specific. Are there any rewards or something?
Its a big complex game with many moving parts, bugs happen.Doesn't make it any less silly that such a big bug in a critical path makes it to release. It's like they don't do any QA.
I have been very lucky today - on top of the random Chameleon from a bounty in DC:
Got that from the same bounty?I have been very lucky today - on top of the random Chameleon from a bounty in DC:

Depending on your hardware, significantly better perfomance.
Shotguns are really good.Shotguns are pointless in this. Rifles drop dudes in one shot, shotties still take multiple shots. Maybe I haven't found the right one.
The commendation points are basically just a show off. You can see how much you (and other players) have accomplished. And yeah, mostly the rewards are just patches, and Div 1 to Div 2 gave you some rewards based on what your score was.You get points, about 30 each, but I have no idea what they're for lol. I have over 900 points now.
If you mean the 6 symbols under SHD 5, the ones in the left column just show how many Core Attributes they have. So here, 6 blue (aka armor). On the right is the Secondary Attributes (things like weapon handling, health, skill haste, etc.). That's broken down 2 red, 6 blue, 7 yellow. What each attribute gives you is all you get. Skill Tier is the only one that gets different rewards based on how many of them there. Otherwise, for blues, it just means you have 6 core attributes rolled to armor. But you don't get any bonus beyond the 1.5M armor already on the stat screen. That make sense?Ok, now that theres a picture up, can anyone explain the three symbols on the stats that are red, blue and yellow. I know it means attack, defense and skills, but how do I see what extra damage or defense my guy is doing when it gets to 2 or 3. With the skills it's easy, it tells you on the skills, but the rest dont. I just dont know the difference between +1 on attack versus +5 on attack.

Great! Yeah, gives a quick overview of the breakdown of a build. It absolutely does make sense, thanks. At least I know I'm not missing important info. Just a quick way to show how your build looks I guess.
While I have you, where do we get off-white keys from to open the chest in the new settlement? From Hunters? Theres 8 of them we need.
From Level 30, I hit level 40 right before taking out the 4th lieutenant (I was OCD about capturing the control points/getting the SHD tech, etc. first). I'd say each zone took me 2-3 hours including the mission, depending how much off the beaten track exploring I did/how much time I spent in the recalibration library.

In DC, you got Ivory keys from the hunters to open the box there.
In NY, you get off white keys from the hunters (we assume...not all of them have been found).

So, probably for most people 8-10 hours?
Thank you both. Seems reasonableI took my time and had that people don't talk to you bug, and was drinking beers. I would say around 10 hours maybe faster if you rush
Oxidizer and rhe Shields are my favourites. So most of my time playing through The Division 2, I stuck with the seeker mines and drone. I'd like to change things up, but those two skills are so effective for me it'll be tough to give them up. I assume other skills are fun for other reasons but I'm not sure where to start.
Any recommendations?
Yeah, get to 40 as soon as possible. There's really no point in staying in DC when all the loot you'll be getting will be worthlessSo, advice,
Right now I feel woefully underpowered. Heck, usually me and my friends managed to cruise through challenging but right now even hard is kicking our arses (that last area of Roosevelt....). So would it be advisable to just go to NYC to power up? Originally the plan was to stick around in DC to clean up unfinished business--mainly unlocking specializations, but the arse kicking we received made me seriously reconsider my plan, hahaha.
What do you folks think?
No. You will be able to upgrade them to 40 at a later date! (Confirmed by devs, though haven't said the method yet).

I have been very lucky today - on top of the random Chameleon from a bounty in DC:
I just played the first mission of the expansion, and it kept inviting the same random player constantly throughout it. I kept cancelling the invite, but it would auto invite them again. They never actually joined, but this happened like 40 times during the mission.
Is this some kind of feature I need to disable? I wasn't requesting help either at the time.
Did you play at launch? This was adjusted in the summer balance update last year along with AI tweaks. That said, running enemies into a funnel is something you can do in almost every shooter that doesn't just lock you into an arena. Choosing to play that way isn't a fault of the game and with how many gadgets endgame mobs have, many don't chase like that period aside from shield Bros. Different gadgets promote different playstyles so try and mix it up?
Gearing is super streamlined now with banking rolls and the new tier system on loot. If you get no enjoyment out of that, then longetivity wise it might not be a good investment. Little thought has to be put in to any builds to complete the story on story/normal difficulties however and is an fun ride, especially since it's so easy now to make use of skills.
If 30 bucks sounds acceptable to you for a 10 hour single player shooter as you go across an amazingly beautiful ravaged NY, then go for it. At the very least you will have this seasons free content to see if it gets its hooks in you.
Best thing to do is:I'm close to hitting level 40. Once I do that, what should I be doing for loot, and how should I figure out what I can spec in?
Yeah. Anything with 2 "god rolls" is amazing, especially when one is damage to armor. Just find a 15% SMG damage and recalibrate it over.So I'm still figuring this loot system out -- this is pretty good, right?
