It's pretty much by the design I would imagine as Homelander is supposed to be this bigger than life God figure whoms presence eclipses others.

Didn't the girl who did it do it as kind of a retributory act because of the sexual harassment allegations that were brought up against him, in a kind of "see what it feels like, prick?" sense? That's a pretty bad mentality to have.Oh yeah, I totally get what the scene was going for with what happened earlier with Annie. Just during the scene I was thinking "This dude has superpowers, if he actually wanted this girl to back the fuck up, he could've easily done that."
