This is true but that is basically NY style pizza.

Good NY style pizza is not hard to find within about a 3 hour radius from NYC. Going south it gets iffy once you get to Baltimore and DC. And going north you are good until at least Boston but after that it seems to be harder to find.

The mom and pop stores that make the best (and also the worst) NY style pizza seem to be slowly disappearing though.

At least in Pennsylvania where I live. Its not hard to find but the owners all seem ancient at this point.

In general I find if you are within 100 miles or so of NYC its not that hard to find good pizza.

Further than that and it is hit or miss.

I guess Nonna Emilia's is technically Aloha/Beaverton and not Portland and that's why it isn't on the list
