WHAT?????
Just played for an hour or so with the new Series patch and no sound issues!Only in the last few hours - this issue should be fixed. We haven't been able to repro since putting in our changes, but please do reach out if it still happens (it's as frustrating for us as it is for you folks)
Checked out the Game Pass version real quick.
RTX options still don't seem to do anything.
DLSS still missing.
Ultrawide is still broken, Rose's fix still works.
Difficulty options added.
The mission bug where you retrieve the bag for taoka seems to be fixed, i could not grab the bag before.
Medium is/was the default! :)
I would like to know this as well.
It would be so cool if they made the game more of fleshed out, interactive world like GTA. The world-building is the best part of the Ascent, and it would be amazing if they could give you more things to do in the world other than just engage in combat (even thought the combat is very strong). This game as a GTA clone with vehicles and a deeper RPG system, possible companion system a-la-fallout.... Seriously they could get deep with the gameplay in the sequel. I wouldn't even mind paying 70 bucks. so much potential with this game.
Now I have no excuse for dying so much lol
Is the part after 'fixed'? You have to deliver it, but there wasn't an NPC at the marker in the end.
Something's up - either the NPC is missing, the marker is wrong, or the quest shouldn't have been given to me at this stage and they'll show up later.
Just finished the game. Last two fights were pretty annoying. It didn't ruin the game for me overall but I do think the now labeled "normal" mode needs rebalancing. Some difficulty spikes were just unfair. Since only .75% of players have finished the game, I'm thinking the difficulty may be a factor.
The graphics were amazing and with the audio issues fixed it was a real treat for the ears too. I'd definitely love to see more from the team.

Trying to take cover during the final fight was a quick way to get wrecked. So in the end I just kept circling and using augments and grenades as often as possible.

Reached level 10 and think I've had enough of this game. The combat is enjoyable the game is rough around the edges. The thing I hate most is the long walks to missions, crazy how fast travel (if it's even in this game, I asssume they are the points with "M" but I can't seem to use them yet) hasn't been unlocked by level 10.
I don't mind travelling long distances in RPGs, as long as there are things to explore and interesting npcs along the way but the game is bland and feels a bit empty. Also the loot I have found in crates have been lacking.
Fair play to anyone who stuck with this game. Especially when Death's Door is also out, which is a superior game to this. I'll come back when the game has been received a few updates and patches.
Thing is, I don't really want those encounters though. It's normally trash level mobs, I rather just get to the actual side mission or main story quest. You can use a taxi as well as the train stations although they do want you to walk around a bit so you can be ambushed and have encounters. As for weapons you need to buy them or find the unique weapons in the world and hidden vendors.
Fast travel is accessed by pressing left on the D-PAD and is unlocked within the first two hours. Couldn't be any easier, honestly.Reached level 10 and think I've had enough of this game. Strange, I don't remember seeing this notifcation at all. ThanksFast travel is accessed by pressing left on the D-PAD and is unlocked within the first two hours. Couldn't be any easier, honestly.
Fast travel works once you've visited a place. I mean, you have to do a mission somewhere and then you can fast travel. You can use the underground and a taxi.Reached level 10 and think I've had enough of this game. The combat is enjoyable the game is rough around the edges. I must have missed that, not sure how to be honest.Fast travel taxi unlocks fairly early in the game. Haven't you reached that point yet?
Game doesn't tell you I just figured it out because every new game I always go into the controls and look at what everything does and change things I don't like before I even start playing.
The game mentions it after a main story mission early on. You gotta press I think left on the D-pad.Thing is, I don't really want those encounters though. It's normally trash level mobs, I rather just get to the actual side mission or main story quest.
EDIT: I didn't know about taxis. Maybe will give them a go, the game doesn't mention this at all.
Haven't gotten the update on the Windows store version yet. Has it released there yet?
Am I crazy or does raytracing work for me on GP? I mean people all over the place are saying that it's 'exclusive' to the Steam version atm but to the best of my eyes it definitely looks like it's enabled for me.
Yeah turns out I didn't actually get that far, spent a lot of time on side quests and can see it pops up after mission 3. I knew it wasn't a case of me missing the notification! The game mentions it after a main story mission early on. You gotta press I think left on the D-pad.
