The 2018 Gamers' Choice Awards

- During the KISS performance there's a big confetti explosion to go along with the end of the act. Afterwards floor producers came out to clean it up and asked attendees to help to the clean up

- The cash bar opened up. But the show is a network production, so they couldn't actually film people with alcohol. Which meant minutes after the announcer told everyone that the bar was open, he came back on and told people that they need to hurry up and finish them while people went around the crowd with a trashcan so that people could throw their cups/bottles into the can

- The show is filmed in segments. The host was kinda confused as to what to do and would just get up and read from a script that was full of "gamer jokes" and then just stand around until someone waved them off stage

- As already pointed out, they didn't announce all the winners that night. Instead the announcer would constantly tell people actually attending the event that they need to tune in on the 9th to see all of the winners

- There were only about 20 people at the event. And apparently no one that would actually win awards was even at the event (aside from Ninja)

- They did an In Memoriam for Stan Lee with everyone getting up and saying "excelsior". Immediately after that the DJ put on Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz 'Get Low'

- By that point the enthusiasm in the place was low. So the floor producers went around handing out candy while the DJ played Backstreet Boys 'I Want it That Way' as one of them tried to get people to sing along

Top 10 on Twitch, has been grinding on it for years. Blew up with Overwatch/Fortnite. He's a good guy, runs a PG stream, but plays with Ninja on FN so I can see that being an issue for some.

As far as controversial moments, he's pretty much stayed away from that.

Such a lazy Sunday show. Flipping around after an NFL game, and it's on.

Best part was either them bringing on a musician (that I've never heard of) to say "look at this list of awards we don't have time for", the 2nd musician they brought out for a 2nd list of winners, or having the 2 main members of Kiss, still in full makeup, give a little speech in remembrance of Stan Lee.

Gamers' Choice Awards Lawsuit Alleges Fraud, Broken Promises
A producer on last month's Gamer's Choice Awards is suing the co-creator, saying that the video game show which aired on CBS was the latest in a string of shows fueled by broken promises, shifting money, and fraud, according to court documents obtained by Variety.
Victor Borachuk filed suit against Michael Burg, who's previous award show creations include the Teen Choice Awards, the Southern Sports Awards, and the Kid's Choice Awards, on Dec. 21 in California State Court.

Borachuk is alleging, among other charges, breach of contract, fraud violations of California state law, and misappropriation of likeness.
In seeking payment of money owed, earnings from three shows and punitive damages, Borachuk argues that four companies run by Burg are essentially just one big company with commingled funds and assets.
