You can't play or download Tetris 99 without a subscription to begin with.You need to be subbed to have the privilege of buying the dlc?

But you can't play it.
Don't bet on it. You can download the game and iopen it, and will check if you're subbed to go onlione. happens to all Switch games. Seems like this is an option for people wanting to play 99 but not wanting to play for Nintendo Switch Online.You need to be subbed to have the privilege of buying the dlc?
Yes but that's different than not being able to download. You don't need a subscription to play the offline DLC
If you buy the DLC, you can play offline without a NSO subscription.
Ah, cool. I stand corrected, then.Yes but that's different than not being able to download. You don't need a subscription to play the offline DLC
Judging from this:Game Boy themes should be given for free, I'm too bad at this game to get 100 points :(
From the Japanese blog post:That DLC is bought. If they can just add offline local MP. It'll be PERFECT

Google Translate:
In the second installment, we plan off-line content where you can enjoy CPU games with your family and friends.
Where did you find it, searched eShop and in-game.That DLC is bought. If they can just add offline local MP. It'll be PERFECT
Yes.Is this the first Maximus Cup to give in-game rewards? The first two were just that 999 gold coins to the top 999 players thing, right?
You never needed NSO to download Tetris 99. The game checks your membership status at the start of the round.Wait, so you need NSO to download Tetris 99 and then purchase this? You can't just purchase the offline stuff?
So I'll basically have to play 10 games. Fair enough.Judging from this:
It doesn't seem like it's very hard at all. You'll have to play around 50 or so games at maximum if you're not that good at the game, but even a few top-30 finishes and that number will reduce dramatically.

Sucks the theme is time limited. We can't all be available that exact weekend.
Thanks! Threadmarked both of your posts if you don't mind!Hmmm, Muzy it seems that there's a different point layout in the EU version at least. I just checked the Event Notice in the game and the point distribution is:
1st = 100 Points
2nd = 50
3rd = 30
4th - 10th = 20
11th - 30th = 10
31st - 50th = 7
51st - 90th = 4
91st - 99th = 1
Your basically buying the game if it were sold without NSO.A basic offline tetris mode that's in pretty much every Tetris game and a CPU mode as paid DLC? Naw, I'm good fam! Wake me up when some crazy shit is released as DLC.

You have to do 50 games minimum while staying out of the bottom 9 in the us. I doubt that will take more than 2 hours to do. Getting 100 games done in th EU might be a huge grind.Game Boy themes should be given for free, I'm too bad at this game to get 100 points :(

I don't see it mentioned in-game... but the game hasn't updated, so it may be added later. It is in the eshop. Check out Tetris 99's page. It listed as DLC.
