I'm just surprised at how much more prototype it is than production considering pre-orders are live.
The problem I have with Rivian is they've never released a product. Tesla has and have simply built up more good faith with the safety records of their vehicles. Easier to drop $50k on that vs a startup that is just getting in when the traditional auto makers are catching up. I hope Rivian succeeds but design alone isn't enough.
That's cool. It's a bit concerning though everything is getting consolidated into electronic screens. Like, that shit breaks and you dont have the mirrors anymore. Actual side mirrors are pretty damn durable in a practical sense.

This thing has dedicated screens to achieve the same function. If you peep the render of the interior, the only screen inside is the 17" center console unit. Not saying it couldn't work but...
