QLOC did the porting of Dark Souls Remastered.

Can the Nintendo Switch Handle a Dark Souls Remaster?

Love it or hate it, we all remember our first time playing Dark Souls. The game's highs and lows are impossible to forget, figuratively and literally. In the same vein, nobody can forget the horror that was Blighttown.

A portable Switch version of this dream almost seems too good to be true, and as always, there are some caveats. While the remaster itself is being handled by QLOC, the Switch port has been reportedly handed off to an as-yet-unnamed studio in China.

Did some pretty cool things such as implementing checkerboard rendering.

Perhaps they need some more staff for porting titles to the switch and or the new consoles.

Tencent diversifying their investments is expected since the Chinese gaming industry has grinded to a halt for almost one year, with no new game approval and the minor gaming limitations.

The only thing I don't want to see is if they intervene on game dev for worldwide consumption.

Yeah, QLOC is basically among the best PC porting houses out there. Does a bunch of commonly outsourced stuff, such as QA and localisation, too.

That's like the 4th and 5th Polish studios they've acquired or invested in in the last 6 months.

Dark Space
Console focused people probably wouldn't know 1C from a can of paint, hell PC gamers who don't dabble in low-budget gaming might not either, but 1C Entertainment has been the publisher behind some of the platform's greatest sleeper hits.

Space Rangers, King's Bounty, Star Wolves, Men of War, IL-2 Sturmovik, Deep Sky Derelicts, Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, etc.

MK11 port was not very good to put it mildly, on release, although it was improved over time.
QLOC does really good work and the PC version of MK11 ended much better than the barely unchanged Series X/ PS5 versions that NRS did themselves. The PC port had more features/performance options. NRS' efforts on the PS5/Series versions are embarrassing by comparison.

Anyway, seems like they would be a good acquisition for whoever got them. At least they will likely stay third-party since Sony just bought one of the other top port studios.

QLOC also ported Cyberpunk to Stadia and that port of Cyberpunk was actually pretty decent at launch.
