No console manufacturer allows certification for AO games (or their regional equivalents).
I'm asking this seriously cause I've only played one doa game before. But without the fan service would this franchise even survive ? Is there anything this game does better then other fighting games? Is it better then any of the top franchises in the genre?

Their engine is literally called soft engine and nobody has made a joke about it yet. What was even the point of this thread...
Because DOA is a good fighting game on its own merits with a unique counter system?
I'm sure Fakku would be happy to sell you this theoretical game. They already sell shit like Honey Select in english.
I think the general comparison is that it's a faster, far less balanced Virtua Fighter. They have the whole counter mechanic which looks and feels really good, but never seems to actually be worked into the gameplay in a sensible way.
