New guy looks cool. New girl is boring though. Looks like a generic unnamed NPC type character. The villain also looks kind of meh. I love dark edgy character designs but he just looks kind of lame. I want to see more of whoever was riding the dragon though.

Jumping in here is prefect fine. Essentially every Tales of are completely distinct outside of those that have a 2 in the name.

It's like Final Fantasy, each game is set in a totally different world/continuity. (With some exceptions)

I'm disappointed this game has battle transitions. Xenoblade spoiled me with the seamless battles. I thought this was going to be a big step forward for the franchise but its just Tales with a bit of a bigger budget.
