Quite.
Previous games somewhat "too anime" and some were just "anime".
I guess Arise could be just the latter, in my opinion.
Quite.
I never know who to trust when it comes to RPG reviews.
I'm not writing off specific reviewers, but there's been many occasions where a JRPG gets praised by professional outlets while RPG regulars bring up the flaws later.
I was wondering who people typically listen to for RPG reviews/takes.
Excited for this even though every Tales game since Graces has been disappointing in the combat part. Maybe this will be good.
Bummer.Pop in remains an issue which was the same on console versions

I was just thinking that maybe Tales is finally poised for a Persona/Dragon Quest style breakout in the west.
Tales! Who would have thought?
Surprisingly high scores. I didn't expect that from a modern Tales game.
The games are completely unconnected other than sharing item and ability names kind of like Final Fantasy
The Xillia games are the awful ones bro. Graces and Zestiria are fun.Hold up dawg Xillia 1 and 2 are good games.
I agree with Zesteria being awful tho.
No, it's kind of frustrating hahaAh OK. Is there a way to see a list of banned content on here? It's hard to figure out what's allowed. Maybe I missed a thread on it?
I did! Best Tales game since Vesperia for me but it looked so cheap and nothing really groundbreaking. It was a solid 6/10 game for me, which isn't bad, but I always felt the franchise could do so much more. Seems we are feasting now 😎
Dragon Quest had a breakthrough in the west? I mean it sells decently, but I wish it had a breakthrough.
Someone is claiming on Reddit that if you set your Xbox to Japan time you can play early now? I know New Zealand will work TOMORROW but I've never heard of using Japan to unlock something early. Any word if that's true? I'm working currently.
In terms of being considered in GOTY circles and not banished to the "anime games" ghetto? Yeah, I would say that DQ 11 did.
Gonna hop outta here soon before I let the rest of the morning get away from me. But fwiw, I think it's the best combat since Graces.

That's high praise, Graces F was insanely funGonna hop outta here soon before I let the rest of the morning get away from me. But fwiw, I think it's the best combat since Graces.
How much VO does the game have? More than the demo made it seem?
Well shit. I loved the hell out of Graces f back in the day. Reading this made me excited.Gonna hop outta here soon before I let the rest of the morning get away from me. But fwiw, I think it's the best combat since Graces.

Hell yeah. Pretty solid score for a Tales game. Looking forward considering the praise for the combat system
