Wish I could just turn it off.Why is it after three decades JRPG developers still haven't given us a volume slider for "combat speech".
I mean, it has been complained about since the first game ever did it.
Honestly I think it's just pure sadism at this point.
Hold down the button you used to cast the arte and press r1 or rb to store itJust got Rinwell but I feel I don't quite get how her combat works. I didn't try her in the demo and never usually play casters in Tales games I've played, but her mechanics seemed really cool.
I can't seem to get the combo system with the artes to work as described. She just seems to end up casting it immediately.
The fog gets lit up by the light, remove the fog and it doesn't happen. That's what you're seeing there.
I don't like the fog in this game as dark edges end up banding through it and look weird.
I bought the DLC and the game feels balanced around having it, at least on hard.
I love the game, but that's a bit gross.
Yea that's just the game. Can't do anything about it. The most you can do is supersample from a higher resolution.I see, thanks for all the help... but it's still not over, haha! I gave the lines to a friend and he asked this :
"which of these settings would be for the pencil-lines shader thing? it looks kinda rough in motion with them being more pronounced"
any idea?
Absolutely disgusting, bamco how could you not consider the implications of the iron maskIf it was realistic imagine how nasty his face must be after years of not washing it
See I thought it was like a little loose but went around his whole face and those two open lines down if (for him to presumably see out of) were the only air systems. So I thought he ate by like mashing food in there and hoping it ended up near his mouth.im sure its not tight as he has to breathe from somewhere.
hes probably upside down spider-man'ing the food. we never actually see him eat.
Did y'all change your button configuration? Trying to figure out what's optimal for the Xbox controller.
Hard feels fine. Only problem I've had is the AI not moving from some aoe attacks that cover almost the entire screen. For those playing on Hard mode how are you finding it so far?
I just beat the first boss and it doesn't seem too bad so far. I did notice that Shionne died A LOT though on this battle, so not sure if Hard becomes more of a pain as the game progresses, unless I am playing wrong and I'm supposed to change control of who I use on the fly, I have just been controlling the MC so far. There's also no trophy for completing it on Hard so there's less of an incentive, too.
Also, is that DLC boost to XP, CP, and Gald really worth it or you can manage completely fine playing the game normally without spending hours grinding your crew?
There's several skits where you see his mouth flapping at the bottom of the mask, particularly if the angle is from low. He can clearly manage to get food up to his mouth in the mask, but like if his nose itches no yeah he's fucked.Absolutely disgusting, bamco how could you not consider the implications of the iron mask

Upside down spiderman is a better visual though.
Ahhhhh okay I didn't see any of those skits that makes more senseThere's several skits where you see his mouth flapping at the bottom of the mask, particularly if the angle is from low. He can clearly manage to get food up to his mouth in the mask, but like if his nose itches no yeah he's fucked.
Also answered-ish in an early skitAhhhhh okay I didn't see any of those skits that makes more sense
additionally, how long has he had this mask on lol. Did the mask grow with him?
Yeah I figured that out thank you. Now I got most of artes upgraded to use those specialsThat's because some flame specials need to be unlocked in that artes menu. To know if you can use a Flame special, Go to:
Artes
Select an arte
Below the Arte name you'll see something like Flaming edge Rising Phoenix
If it's greyed out it means you haven't unlocked that flaming arte, if it's golden it means you can use the flaming arte
Is it worse than the wolf boss difficulty spike vesperia?Jesus, the second lord was a bit much lol. Definitely a big difficulty jump, burned through most of my life bottles.
Have you clicked R3 to zoom in?The SP cost text is so incredibly small, holy shit. I'm not alone, right?
Right! I had to grind a bit.Jesus, the second lord was a bit much lol. Definitely a big difficulty jump, burned through most of my life bottles.
Yeah, just tapping LB to cycle through would be so much better. Or just let me take the target off all together. I should probably check around in options to see if you can do that...

Tales dungeons have been like that for a while now, unfortunately. I'm hoping that further into the game we get some dungeons with actual puzzles and branching paths and exploration but.... I'm not holding my breath too much. The days of getting unique puzzle mechanics in every dungeon with the sorcerer's ring are long gone.I'm getting some FFXIII vibes with the "dungeons" in this game. They seem different than what you would usually experience in a Tale game.
Or at least the ones I played
I'd say so. The second lord feels like an MMO raid boss, complete with DPS check, lol.

Did miss something? The second lord dungeon has a locked door and a window with a keyhole. I searched everywhere but didn't find any other keys.
