Its actually really interesting that many don't like the new skit format. On reddit it seemed like people didn't appreciate any moderate to harsh criticism of the change. I wouldn't consider the average reviewer very sensitive to that kind of thing either, so yeah I'm a bit surprised.
I'm really hoping that this doesn't imply that they don't get any better than the samples we got in the demo. Those weren't really great first impressions of the change to me.
Early reviews and such seem amazing!
I played a short portion of the demo, mainly to avoid spoilers as I just wanted to get a feel for the game both graphically and from a gameplay perspective and it felt very very good. Glad to see the rest of the game stacks up highly too. Excited to play this one.

So PSN says it comes out tomorrow surprisingly (US store). This should mean it unlocks at midnight tonight, right?
Ugh some of the pop-in I've seen on PS5 and Series X is so atrocious. It's sooo close to your character. Such a bummer, really takes me out of the experiencing the world.

Well, the demo was it's own thing, ya know? The skits there were replacing tutorials half the time.
I feel like every Tales game is simply hit or miss with skits since humor is so damn difficult.
Yeah that's my struggle as well! I don't want to go back to only getting 4 hours of sleep LOL.

The reviews are really promising. I haven't been this excited for a Tales game since Abyss. So excited to play through this!
I'm half and half on the skits, but I do like them but still wish they kept 2d. Thing is the majority of skits in tales aren't really good, just servicable. For all the skits tales of vesperia had there's only like 100 or so that I actually like and that game had over like what, 900 skits? So to that I say to each his own.
I'm considering buying this as I enjoyed the demo. The only thing is that the tutorials were pretty bad IMO. I didn't really understand what I was doing.

Well considering I was gonna buy on PC, it would cost me twice as much to get it on the JP store...still tempted, need some jrpg in my life
Only missable is an specific Owl and the 300 skits. So make sure to always press the view skit button and make sure to not miss that specific owl on a boat and you're good. You check Powerpyx guide for the missable.

Going in blind, didn't play demo or read any reviews/previews but I'm currently playing through MHStories2 and it's pretty underwhelming and basic for a JRPG. Need to play something better and more epic and this is reviewing great so far. Last Tales game I played was Vesperia on 360 which I remember liking a lot, so now I'm super looking forward to this one tomorrow.

For the rec, I love the new skit format and I have unlocked around 250 or so? They look fantastic and feel better integrated into the game than past stuff. But I get that some disagree.

It's so weird that the game has a single missable Owl. I'm going to do a replay soon, anyway, so I'll check to make sure it doesn't show up a bit later. I strongly doubt it does, but...

Change your language settings on your console/Singaporean account to English - that should fix it.
Mine was English UK… but yea changing to English United States fixed this

So at the moment (going off demo ) the best/high framerate is xbox series X(only in 4k mode and only by 10 fps-ish)> ps5 > the other stuff right? And pc being top dog assuming they don't botch the pc port. Thinking I might grab this on xbox due to having some credit.
Haven't played but a couple of PS5-only games yet, but I'm pretty sure it's incorporated. It feels better than the DS4 did.
There was no demo for Scarlet Nexus on PC and that turned out fine. I wouldn't worry.

I am one among thousands here so take this with a comparable grain of salt. But I do prefer Arise by a fair bit.
Wait for more than just preemptive word-of-mouth though, IMO!
