Deadlife impressed a lot of folks with the 'Bionic Chrysalis' album, and the new album is fantastic. I don't like much of the darksynth stuff, but this is great.

The new Gost album sounds pretty cool, but at the same time it sounds like something that could be used to torture guantanamo inmates.
I like the death metal drums. Could have been pulled off a lot better though.

Yeah, I feel like he really didn't nail the production on this one. It sounds amateuristic compared to his earlier work, especially if you're a fan of the genres whose drum tones, grooves and fills he's trying to replicate here.

Just on train back from Carpenter Brut man that was an experience, a perfect feast for all the sense.

The new tracks sound even punchier live, they fit in well with the playlist. I did become one of those people living through my phone, I just had to film Wake Up the President/Chew Bubble Gun/Turbo Killer and 5 118 574/Le Perv/Maniac finale.

I have experienced Le Perv live, so now I can die a happy man.

Man Halay Stewart is everywhere now and I am okay with this (Mecha Maiko)

My favourite track from the album is True Form. Great stuff.

Listening to this at the moment, nice discovery. I really like the profile..

"The retro-inspired recordings of a lovestruck synthesizer enthusiast living amid the Northern Lights in a bright city that rests in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Moonspun songs about love lost and walking home in the rain."
Should be another album coming out soon too it seems.

edit: Loving this. A Kiss in the Night is a great track!

Totally forgot a new Miracle album dropped almost 2 months ago. Loving it so far.

You can go over to their Bandcamp and listen. One half of Miracle is Steve Moore of Zombi and Lovelock fame. Big fan of his.

Really liking this one! Thanks for the link!

Nice! Didn't notice that Dance with the Dead was coming to town in time to book the time off for work when they were here back in October, but this I should be able to work in!

For those who like a bit of a rock vibe with their synths, The Anix released a new single.

Damn. Really enjoying the single. Also been working through their other stuff. Really enjoyable!

Thanks for all the contributions to this thread guys. Love Synthwave and finding new artists to follow on here is awesome.

Recently, my onboard motherboard sound connector broke, so I bought an entry level sound card and installed it last night...

HOLY SHIT! I cannot believe the extra fidelity I'm hearing. It's ridiculous! When I built my comp I read a lot about how sound cards don't make much a difference these days and you don't really need one; it's money that could be spent on other performance components etc etc. But man, that sentiment is complete bullshit if you like music! I'm re-listening to all my music now and can hear so much new stuff it's insane. So stoked.

BTW, Youth by Alex is my most spammed track in the last 6 months. That one just keeps on giving.

Perhaps I'll see you there!

Has this album been posted yet?

I'm listening to it right now. Really good so far! Very upbeat and energetic. If you like artists like Chris Huelsbeck and Vince DiCola you should really give this a listen.

Listening now, this is really fantastic. Thanks for sharing. edit: Equinox is incredible.2nd: Yeah, that is a terrific album! Listening to 24:7's debut now "Zero Hour"

The label also released a new Morgan Willis album, so I'll be checking that out too.

Welcome aboard, always enjoy seeing new folks. The Midnight and FM-84 are great gateway artists into Synthwave.

Oh yes that could be awesome too. Can't wait ! I'm still not bored of Atlas and it's one of the three album I've listened to the most since 2016. With Defender by Advection Stride (a new album recently came out btw, but I'm on mobile I can't post it now). Advecion Stride is not very well known I think but he's great.

FM-84's twitter says it's being worked on, and it'll be ready when it's ready. Ollie Wride has an album in the works as well, so maybe that'll be great too.

Omg just bought their album. I'm hooked. I'm seriously going to have to start redecorating.

Yeah, it's an awesome album! Glad you also enjoyed it.

I always try to keep an eye out for good synthwave music, but 24:7's debut album somehow slipped under the radar (I think the boring cover art is the culprit). Anyway, both albums are great!

EDIT: Just found out 24:7 did synthwave remixes of tracks from Streets Of Rage and Top Gear, and those are lovely as well!

Came across this album after a track appeared on Luigi Donatello's youtube (actually quite a good companion to channels like NRW)

Don't be fooled by the whole "Japanese kanjis in the title and classical statues in the artwork" thing, it's not vaporwave, but instead some very nice and relaxing ambient stuff.

Would recommend to anyone who's a fan of stuff like HOME

Stream for Hollywood Burns. It's pretty interesting:
Already loved the previously released tracks and that 50's alien invasion movie vibe, but also the entire album is really cool. Has a strong soundtrack feel to it, sometimes sounds like Dan Terminus accompanied by a full orchestra, lots of stuff going on in some of the tracks...overall pretty good stuff, definitely gonna buy it tomorrow.

Have you checked out much else now? How about LeBrock? https://lebrock.bandcamp.com/

Yeah, it's an awesome album! Glad you also enjoyed it.

Yeah, those tracks are great too. The debut lacks a bit of the production punch that Naeon has, but still has some great tracks.

Here's a very short and very sweet EP from Ectronic. Great guitar playing, so stuff similar to ULTRABOSS. Love the vocoder in Cowabunga Baby. edit: Dang it the youtube video is only the first track of a playlist. Anyway, all of his stuff is great, albeit quite varied.

No worries, there's a lot of stuff to get through if you're just starting to explore. Miami Nights 1984 is great stuff, would love more material.

His stuff sounds like what they'd play during a montage haha.

It's too much after a while
