Switch reached its next sales milestone in Japan, surpassed Standard/Slim PS4 LTD.

Switch reached its next small milestone this week in Japan, according to MediaCreate. Nintendo Switch sold more than PS4 and PS4Slim combined. Next stop is closing the remaining smaller than 1 million gap to surpass cumulative PS4/Slim and Pro sales.

saying ps4/slim is confusing, you should change to just ps4 slim/base ps4 so it would be obvious pro isnt included

It'll surpass PS4 soon enough. Wonder if it'll beat all other Nintendo consoles though.

What's made up about it? The base Switch model has outsold the base PS4 model in less time. It's not overtaken PS4 overall yet, but nobody is claiming it has. Do you know what milestone means?

I think we can arbitrarily decide what a milestone for the Switch looks like. If it outsold the base 3DS without its many revisions, that would still be impressive and thread-worthy in my opinion.

And besides, this serves as a good indicator to where Switch is sitting currently.

Do you? Hint: it's not pretending the Switch has outsold another system by pretending it sold less because you omitted about a million sales.

Literally no one is pretending it's sold more than PS4. A milestone is a point of some significance on the way in a journey. It's not, not has it ever been, the point you overtake a competitor.

But where was the OP when SW overtook base PS4 without counting the Slim?
