First I've heard of that. I know if it's fulfilled by them it could be 3rd party but sold and shipped by them has always been only from them directly. Would love a link showing proof otherwise if you have one.
edit: I guess if you get one from there and want to make sure, just run H2testtw and that should validate that at least it's the right specs as sold and could help spot a counterfeit and allow you to return it quickly.
Yeah I found some stuff saying as you did that their inventory is now mixed in with others, so that's pretty terrible. Thanks for pointing it out, I would have never thought that could happen. It's a shame I can't find the article. I feel maybe it was posted on ResetERA in the past?
In any case, Amazon gets its supply from many wholesalers, and there's no guarantee it's getting its SD Card supply directly from Samsung. In all likelyhood you'll be fine, but running H2testtw is a good idea.
Yup that's all you need to do. It's nice that it's so easy, I've done it a few times myself because I keep slowly upgrading (and throwing away more money). If I purchase a new SD card can I plug my old card into my laptop, download the Switch data to the hard drive, and then upload that data to the new card? I think this was answered in the affirmative upthread but I'm not entirely certain because I'm quite amateur at this stuff.

Use a Windows PC if you can, a Mac file system can screw up the copy/paste.Oh wow, it's really as easy as copy and pasting from one card to another? I've been debating upgrading from my 200GB since I've had to delete so much lately, so this definitely confirms that it's time.
I've upgraded my SD card 3x since owning the switch. Now I'm at 256gb and I've never successfully pulled this off. I have a macbook pro. Apparently it's a seamless process for PC users. I copy everything, match the folders, try to copy it back over. Never works. I go online to Nintendo's transfer method procedure and followed that. Nada. Ultimately, I always have to spend a day redownloading everything every time i get a new card.Yup that's all you need to do. That's really weird. I'm gonna guess it has something to do with the formatting of the card? I simply copy the entire card in one shot in Windows File Explorer (right click the drive itself, 'copy') and paste it to a new folder. Select all that's in the folder, copy it and then paste to the root directory of the new card.I've upgraded my SD card 3x since owning the switch. 104 only about 17 of them are indie.for the people filling up 400GB, can I ask how many games you have? is it mainly big titles or a TON of indie games?

The MBP SD card slot is full size, so you'd need an adapter, but the micro SD cards generally come with one for this very reason. I also have a custom adapter that fits flush, and my 512GB card is acting as extra semi-permanent storage space.I too have an aging (2015) MBP; do you need an adapter for the microSD or can it just slot in there on that port on the right(?) side?
That's what I just got for my Switch, and it should last me a while too!256GB cards (like this one) are probably going to be the most memory you can get per dollar, though it depends on how much you value the convenience of having a single large card over potentially needing multiple cards.
Yep, all the ones I got directly from Amazon works fine! For what it's worth, over the years I've bought several SanDisk and Samsung Micro SD cards that were all sold & shipped by Amazon and they were all legit.

400 GB for $56 is $0.14/GB
512 GB for $99 is $0.19/GB
So the 400 GB SanDisk is better value at the moment.
I got the 400GB a couple of months ago to upgrade the capacity. Can't justify another 100GB for $45.
Is this the best deal right now? And would this card work on Switch?
It's a healthy mix. I have full retail games digitally. Mortal Kombat 11 is like 23 GB before the two monstrous patches, and even that's been archived. I currently have 96 games downloaded to my main Switch, ranging from super small indies to big budget AAA, with A Hat In Time currently the biggest game I have downloaded at 16.2 GB. I have ~200 digitally purchased, with more bought physically.for the people filling up 400GB, can I ask how many games you have? is it mainly big titles or a TON of indie games?
