We end up knowing a lot about the Emperor, both from himself and what other characters say about him, in the original trilogy alone.

A pretty telling scene is when Darth Vader, who actually kills subordinates for being bad at their job, points out the Emperor is not as forgiving as he is. We also find out the Emperor is extremely manipulative and secretive, to the point he was able to bring down the entire Republic pretty much by himself and replace it with an Empire all while somehow keeping his powers hidden. How many people even knew Palpatine was able to use the Force? You could probably count them all on one hand.

We still don't really know anything about Snoke. Where he came from, what his plans are, how he acquired the resources he has. For a guy they tease as being as powerful and manipulative as Palpatine, we know nothing about him and he's dead now so it's all pointless to wonder anyway.
Yeah, the OT did a good job of building up the Emperor with little things instead of just tons of exposition.

So they are pulling a Kojima? Everybody is related by blood to everybody making the universe just a story from the neighborhood.

wat

lets see, lets ask the same questions you asked about snoke, but for the emperor instead, on the original trilogy

"Where he came from, what his plans are, how he acquired the resources he has"

can you answer this with the OT only???

of course not

also everything you said about palpi you learned it from the PT lol

Seen the Rumor of Palpatine going round but I dunno.

I think more likely that Snoke will return and him dying in 9 was just an illusion he put in Kylo and Reys mind, like how he connected them, thats how powerful Snoke is, he is still pulling strings in 9 and Kylo betrayed him exactly like he assumed he would, since Snoke is wise.

By the way For the Force Awakens

Anakin was considered as a Forceghost appearing to Rey and as Force Darthvader to Kylo and luke was erm..... gonna be buried in sand, both these ideas appeared in the Artbook for force awakens.

Ugh, these baseless fan theories are tiresome.

The film clearly lays out that Rose is the mole/traitor.

- she admits to stopping rebels from escaping
- she conveniently knows all about the FO's tracking tech
- she "knows this place" but parks their ship in an obvious no parking zone at the casino
- she stops Finn from destroying the mini death star door buster
- she celebrates the destruction of the rebel base with a kiss

Its all there. Rose is the Sith Master.

We know Jedi don't believe in luck
Poe: "How'd you two meet?"
Rose: "Just luck."

We know only the Sith deal in absolutes.
Rose: "There's only one business in the galaxy that will get you this rich."

We know hate is of the dark side.
Finn: "(Rose) why do you hate it so much?"
Rose: "I wish I could put my fist through this whole lousy beautiful town"

Or maybe blow it up with a moon sized space station Rose? Hmm? Hmmmmm?
This is so stupid that it horshoes back around to being brilliant. Buuuut that would honestly redeem the weakest plot point of the TLJ for me. Not gonna happen tho :/

People are going way too hard on this lighthearted thread. As for the theory itself... I love it. Bring on She-ev, JJ.

It would be consistant with the trilogy so far that they would do something this stupid.

OP I love that idea but....she may have blended too well into the background for me. I don't remember her at all. So if she truly was the one pulling the strings all along I would be like "who the fuck is this?" Once she was revealed
