I think someone said Capcom went after him.
To be fair, a lot of people got smoked by Nintendo rumors back then. That said he was one of the main people pushing Star Fox Grand Prix, and seemingly stopped being a rumors/leaks guy after that. Ultimately though we really shouldn't be reposting him here considering the considerable grief he has directed at the community over the years.Don't take Liam Robertson's word as gospel. He might have insider info, he might not. He's been wrong before.
I don't know if I'm misremembering, but I think soon after BOTW releasedDo we know when exactly BOTW 2 went into development? Like a good idea of the month/year?
Yep, DMCA'd his posts.

Metroid Prime 4 years until the next trailer
Usually with zelda games the dev of the next one begins with a small team right after they ship the gameDo we know when exactly BOTW 2 went into development? Like a good idea of the month/year?
Did people believe that?Star Fox Grand Prix was fascinating.
also I was on the "100% fake all the way" side since the rumor dropped. Can't believe I was right on that matter lol. Probably the one time I thought this doesn't make any sense at all, I don't believe it.
I know what you mean, but the speed at which it resets you and the lengths of the segments make it reasonably palatable. For instance, even with checkpoints I found DKCR and DKC:TF levels often much harder to get through.
Are you playing Switch or Xbox? I played on XSX and rarely felt like there was too much going on to see what to do, but a smaller screen might hurt the experience.
That could be good news for us then.
It's a real thing.Tbh in this case it'll be "I was expecting something extremely specific and I'm still disappointed"
Almost every reputable insider was backing it. Peer Schneider, IGN co-founder, even gave some specific details about how it was "visually stunning" on a podcast.Did people believe that?
I never heard of it before I started participating here, but that looks fake at first glance.

I to this day really think they got confused with the leak

So Nintendo creates a mock up to mess with insiders, huh?

Not entirely true. There were definitely some folks that said they had heard the rumor/info, but had not been able to verify it themselves. So uhh, apparently Mario + Rabbids 2 isn't a thing according to Liam Robinson. Not going to go into specifics of course, but man that would suck.
That's sad. I wonder what happened. Was it Nintendo's fault or Ubisoft's fault?
Even though I'll get stuff like Elden Ring, Tales of Arise, or Scarlet Nexus on PC, I'm with you for the most part. Even when I'm interested in those games on a fundamental level, my overall excitement has become less and less over these past few years, as I know experiencing these titles will be compromised by lack of time and convenience compared to playing on Switch.If it aint on Switch I don't seem to care no matter how good it looks. Can't get myself excited for games I won't be able to play.
I'd take it! And gladly so.I am expecting the H2 line-up to look a bit like 2019:
Fire Emblem Three Houses --> FE4 Remake
Pokémon Sword/Shield --> Pokémon D/P
Luigis Mansion 3 --> Donkey Kong
Link's Awakening --> Zelda
Dragon Quest XI S --> Shin Megami Tensei V
Ring Fit Adventure --> a surprising family friendly game
Switch Lite ---> Switch Pro
Astral Chain --> Metroid V (core oriented game)
This happens to me as well. I got excited watching the ER trailer yesterday, but the only way I actually get hype levels of excitement is with Nintendo games. Can't deny the Nintendo fanboy in me, I guessEven though I'll get stuff like Elden Ring, Tales of Arise, or Scarlet Nexus on PC, I'm with you for the most part. So, yeah; It's gotten harder for me to get truly excited about non-Switch stuff, despite having the means to play on other hardware. But that's why I'm basically only waiting for those special few games anymore, like From Soft titles for instance, play those on other platforms and then basically go back to Switch fulltime.
Could never bring myself to buy starlink. I'm down with your idea though.I'm not saying they use all thegameplay mechanics of Starlink, but I think it'd be great if Nintendo game the Star Fox IP to this Ubisoft studio to make a full-fleshed out Star Fox game.The engine is ready. Just make the gameplay be more Star Fox-esque or something.
Starlink wasn't perfect, but it was good enough with promise. I bet this group could make a solid and fresh Star Fox game.
