5 million copies sold here we come!I refuse to believe that Metroid amiibos and Dread CE sold out instantly. There is no way :(

Apparently it's something Bluetooth related...Nate must be feeling content. Portugal won, and he no longer has to give reassurance about Metroid.
...was the Neat Thing™ revealed yet, or no?
Who is saying that lol. Damn people are pessismistsNow a lot of people on social media are saying that everyone (including Bloomberg) was misled and that it's just Mariko with an OLED display & a simple 4K upscaler.
That's actually quite goodOT 25 | No campaigns or other Nintendo General Discussion threads planned for ResetEra's 5th anniversary
It looks so glorious, I'm still in awe. It's more than I could have hoped for. They've literally given me everything I wanted from a new Metroid in one game. I would have been happy with one or two of the things I wanted, but they gave it all.
Still a bit weepy tbh
I like it. Keep 'em cominOT 25 | No campaigns or other Nintendo General Discussion threads planned for ResetEra's 5th anniversary
Are you me? These are all my exact opinions. That Direct was on the weaker side for me, in competition with E3 2017, 18 & 19 I'd probably rank it in last place, though not by a significant margin.
It was missing one big & exciting announcement/trailer for me- 2017 had XC2 & Odyssey, 2018 had Smash (yes I thoroughly enjoyed that screw the haters) and 2019 had LM3, LoZLA, Pokemon Sword Shield, 2 very exciting Smash announcements and BotW2 announced (which in hindsight wasn't as exciting but I couldn't really know at the time). Just as an example, if you'd have given me 1 or 2 of those games straight after their E3 trailers, I would have excitedly booted them up straight away, whereas (bar BotW2 which is obviously still far off) none of the games in that Direct have that same excitement, if I had them downloaded and unlocked on my Switch right now... I'd still watch France v Germany then go to bed lol.
But I can't be too mad/disappointed, there's a *ton* coming out within the next 6-12 months that were announced/highlited in this Direct, and some of course were not (looking forward to Splatoon 3 & Pokemon of course and we'll get more announcements in the coming months) and I am genuinely looking forward to Metroid Dread (even though clearly by my lack of enthusiasm I'm not a huge Metroid fan), Mario Party and the Advance Wars remakes (don't really agree with the graphics complaints, it looks good to me albeit I have no nostalgia for the series).
And yeah I've never played a Tekken game so that was a nothing pick for me. But that's still 7/10 DLC fighters that have excited me so, again, I can't be too disappointed. Hopefully it'll be 8/11 soon with the final pick.
Please omg that would be amazing
Who cares at this point. Now a lot of people on social media are saying that everyone (including Bloomberg) was misled and that it's just Mariko with an OLED display & a simple 4K upscaler.
Why did we See a Donkey Kong screen with remixed Donkey Kong Sounds between the first two treehouse sections?
Was this a hint or did they even had planned to feature Donkey Kong but it wasn't ready in time to show up in the E3 Direct?!
Was it pushed back the last moment to be shown on a later date after the Treehouse segments had been finalized?!
Interesting indeed....
I would be pretty surprised if it doesn't surpass that tbhWill Metroid Dread be the best selling Metroid title? It needs to surpass the 2.73 million copies the original Metroid sold.
Oh man I have the feeling BOTW 2 will release in 2023. Aonuma said they aim for a 2022 release, that doesnt sound very promising.
I'm surprised (but not really) that Nintendo let Fatal Frame go. I guess they might not publish any future games in the series anymore.

In exchange for getting Gust to make Super Princess Peach RPG obviously
I guess it's like Wonderful 101, which Nintendo let Platinum publish themselves.
yeah sounds like late 2022 is their target..so 2023...Oh man I have the feeling BOTW 2 will release in 2023. Aonuma said they aim for a 2022 release, that doesnt sound very promising.
They also have very different emphases. Nintendo concentrated on the next six months and showed 2 games that are coming in 2022. Microsoft are still announcing games with CGI teasers and no release dates, and their biggest announcement was a November 2022 release.I'm pretty happy with that? 8 out of 10? I think Microsoft may have delivered the "objective" (please note the quotation marks) best presentation this E3, but Nintendo's had more for me and wasn't far off in general.
At least there were some JRPGs at all! :D
It... is. It is currently my most anticipated game on any platform. This is spooky.I mean *looks at avatar* is your most anticipated 2021 Switch game (or game in general TBH) The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles? If so the answe might be yes! :)
I struck out too and I saw that tweet within two minutes of it going up. I'm hoping they throw more up for purchase soonExtremely pissed that my notifications didn't go off on either my phone or PC for your notification or for IGN deals, which I have turned on!!

Boz we finally won. It feels surreal. It's more than I could have hoped for. They've literally given me everything I wanted from a new Metroid in one game. I would have been happy with one or two of the things I wanted, but they gave it all.

I can't deal, long ass four months ahead of us
Yes, it'll do well enough to put an end to the sales arguments for goodWill Metroid Dread be the best selling Metroid title? It needs to surpass the 2.73 million copies the original Metroid sold.
Those Amiibo collectors are vultures. Forgot who I was messing with haha. I missed the Amiibo as well.Pre-ordered the Metroid Dread special edition with the steel book but that Amiibo sold out in like 2 minutes :(
I'll buy 2.74 million copies if necessary. Will Metroid Dread be the best selling Metroid title? It needs to surpass the 2.73 million copies the original Metroid sold.
Let's hope we're luckier next time!I struck out too and I saw that tweet within two minutes of it going up. I'm hoping they throw more up for purchase soon
I believe he said it was something to do with bluetooth headphone support, and it was kind of leaked but not announced, I think? Just from memory.
I believe Treehouse was 3 hours, so there may be more.Is this the last treehouse game? Thought they'd show WarioWare
Not the same leads. The Fire Emblem leads are totally working on an Echoes game right now. (Genealogy of the Holy War)
