Interesting Tweet I saw today.

“Haha, what the heck. Thanks to the Super Mario 64 code disassembly it's been discovered that the smoke Mario emits when he's touched fire has been bugged for 20 years. On the left: how it looks in the final game. On the right: after a one-line code fix. https://t.co/JenizzKeFh”

Once again, we believed in a lie for years. What was supposed to be smoke apparently just was a messy glitch! When you look at it now, yeah, it makes sense.

Funny how it still gave the idea while being a glitch though! Perhaps it'll be fixed for the potential remaster?

Mindblow me if old.

I think I prefer the glitch but I'd have to see both side-by-side in motion to be sure. Maybe that's just nostalgia talking.

Anyone else hear 64 Mario yelping in their head as they read the title
