I tried it with some PS1 Tekken.
I wanted to try this with RE1-2 classic, searched and couldn't find it.

Does anyone else get a sort of sense of " deja Vu" with these? Like, I feel like I've seen these people before IRL. Either as a celebrity or a person walking down the street. It's crazy when they come out so good like this but then you realize they aren't real. But it is interesting to note because I feel like there is someone actually walking around on planet Earth who looks like this. (And there probably is...)

Those Yakuza ones look good. There are some pretty descent ones, but damn the funny ones are the best, especially that Zangief.

Kazuma and SH2 protag are the real winners to me. Kazuma looks legit like it'd be from a Japanese B-movie. SH2 guy looks more like how I recall him in my mind than the actual game, haha!
One or two others look like really good cosplay level. The rest... are hideous, heh.

Works better the more realistic the original art is:
Properly proportioned, 3D models rendered with decent lighting work really well (see Tekken).
Hand drawn art is a hit and miss but very interesting tech and results anyway.
Someone should do Snake from MGS1 to 5, including ttp.
