This could be the squad:I kinda feel like this probably isn't the actual squad? Just because if they're building it out like Vermintide, the squad's going to need to be more diverse in terms of roles and visuals. These dudes all look the same. If it's an Inquisitorial retinue, I'd expect a Stormtrooper or two, but also stuff like a Commissar, a Sanctioned Psyker, maybe a Sister or an Assassin.
Still, excited as hell. Love Vermintide.
True, sadly what we got from Relic under Sega was... Hmm... Sigh.To be fair THQ wasn't in... how to say it....a good place back than so a sequel might have happened if THQ was in a better financial state. A sequel was in development actually.
Ogryn! Could be fun. Brazier is a Hereticus symbol. Looks like a flame trooper, heavy weapons dude, sniper, and a poor bloody guardsman in t-shirt and flashlight.
Wanting to play as full on Space Marines when you can take on the worst the galaxy has to offer with your flashlights while protected by paper mache armour? Please. Imperial Guard for life (all 10 seconds of it)
It's not like there isn't already an entire faction of normal humans in the universe that use Space Marine armor.
Well, sorta. Sisters get power armor, as do some Inquisitors, but it's not the same as Space Marine armor. It's sized for regular human anatomy, for one thing. For another, it doesn't have the same neuro-synaptic links. It's not like there isn't already an entire faction of normal humans in the universe that use Space Marine armor.
Sisters of Battle have power armor but it's not really the same. What faction is that? Genuinely asking as I haven't come by such during dives into WH40k lore.

Granted, this is concept art - could still be other stuff. These are still kinda samey. But I do like the Ogryn idea a lot.
God, a chainsaw mounted to a flamethrower. I fucking love 40k.Braziers are generally associated with the Imperial Cult as well.

Hmm...Now don't get me wrong, a game where you played as Deathwatch jumping into nightmarish scenarios in a similar game to this would be fine.. but yeah, getting to play as the poor bloody guardsman is fine by me. I'll be quoting from my primer to inspire my comrades.
I'd love a Sister tbh. Make her more melee-focused so she's forced to wade in and make use of the armor.I knew about them and yeah, not really same. Even SM recruits use advanced armors during their bringing up and training, but not all out SM armor.
I wouldn't mind some Sisters action in this.

Current wishlist:
Stormtrooper/Guardsman (assured)
Sister
Commissar (preferably a woman, preferably more laid-back a la Ciaphas Cain, because I do love that character archetype)
Sanctioned Psyker
Ogryn
That's 5 just like Vermintide, covers a broad range of potential styles. Especially if they do the Vermintide 2 careers thing. So you'd have the Guardsman with: standard guardsman, stormtrooper (better weapons but less utility, maybe?), Sniper. Sister could be regular Sister, Repentia, and maybe a flamer-focused deal.
How could I possibly have forgotten?

Nah, flak armour, regular lasguns, and a flaky flashlight. Only nice bit of kit is the plasma gun. These guys look like cannon fodder.
that be good, one dude who is call of duty, one dude whos the heavy bolter man, one of those assassins from the sisters, and a psyker, and maybe a fifth commisar for variertyI kinda feel like this probably isn't the actual squad? that one game where you play as terminators against tyranids kinda sucked right?
i knew the moment you broke down the first door and the audio quality of that was assYes but different developers.
These made Vermintide which was good.

But maybe as an inquisitor strike team at least one of them may has an upgrade to a Space Marine armor at one point?

Deathwing? Devs turned it around, supposedly legit good now days.
Boo, 2-3 humans, a Tau and a Eldar atleastI kinda feel like this probably isn't the actual squad? How would that work? How would the imperial guard imediatly not murder the tau and eldar?
They've worked together before. It's called the Darktide 2-3 humans work with one Tau and one Eldar isn't far fetched for a survival scenario. How would that work? How would the imperial guard imediatly not murder the tau and eldar?
Ehhhhh
Custodes character action game. Chaos May Cry.I love that we are getting more 40K games but I wish we could play as a Custodes for once even though that would make the game extremely easy and hard to justify lore wise. But a guardsman squad could be cool! Maybe you could pick from different regiments like a Tanith sniper or Catachan melee specialist.
