Even with my expectations at an all time low, that was pretty bad and another 9 minutes of Deathloop didn't change my mind as I'm still not interested.

I told you everybody can attack me but don't hurt my thumb!

But seriously, all I can say is there's a reason Navtra was confident -- she wouldn't have been otherwise. UPSETTING.

Deathloop had so many showing, and yet it fails every time to capture wide interest. If it wasn't developed by Arkane, I would have ignored within the first 2 monutes.

people really complaining when Sony said "it'll be indies+ deathloop" and it was indies+deathloop
They said third party, too. And even then you can dislike a show. If you wanted to see Kena for instance and it didn't happen, you can still be disappointed.

Obviously if someone expected a huge E3 presentation, then that's on them. But I think it's totally fine to be disappointed in the show, despite in this case Sony managing expectations beforehand.

More info about Jett was awesome. It has shot up super high on my wishlist now. I am all about what they showed for that game.

Sifu and Fist look pretty darn good too.

Great showing for indies.

NVM, gonna find some more optimistic threads I guess.

Whoever expected anything other than what was clearly advertised... well, better luck reading next time.
Lol, you're always going to get hyped and un hyped people.

At the same time, disappointed I haven't seen any UI elements yet.

Maybe it's because I had 0 expectations, but that was alright. Was smart of them to tell us what it was going to be like in advance, though, that's for sure

That Deathloop footage contained very little actually new stuff. It felt like I was just watching the previous trailers/gameplay showcases again.

Lost Judgment and Death Stranding were cool. None of the indies really caught my attention. Pretty bad show overall for me.

Decent showing overall; Sifu, Lost Judgement, Moss Book 2 all looked great, but the star of the show for me was JETT: The Far Shore. Game looks wild and right up my alley, so happy they confirmed this year.

Guys, you know it's possible to understand that it's just Deathloop and indies and still think the Deathloop and indie presentations weren't great, right?

Sony could tweet, "This showcase will just show 30 minutes of Stray, literally that's all" and people would still post THAT'S IT!? after the showcase is over

(I'm more interested in Stray than Deathloop tho)

There's literally tens of examples of Nintendo doing exactly that lol

Nobody complains with those because they're not referred to as "Nintendo Directs," with all the inherent expectations that brings.

I don't hate it personally I just feel like we've seen enough of it for it to not take up a whole chunk of a playstation show. It was honestly the 1 game I hope we weren't going to see in a showcase again and we have a mini deep dive into it. (Was hoping for a blog post or something devoted to it).

Its in the same boat as Black Widow for me where i feel like there's just been enough of it shown that at this point. all I want to see is the final product when it's ready and not another trailer.

Can we have a deep dive into Stray instead lol.

I stand by what I said earlier in the thread, was literally no reason for this to get a State of Play.
Literally nothing we havent already seen happen in the previous trailers.

I wouldn't have bothered putting this out. Nothing of excitement. Should have been a blog post.

I SAID THIS EXACT THING lmaooooo

I'm guessing they go for a September showcase next right? Unless they are letting Keighley handling some of it during ONL

Didn't expect much so I'm not really dissapointed; they sold me on Death Stranding though, Sifu has caught my interest. Lost Judgment as well. I just don't think Deathloop will be the hit Sony thinks it will be.

I hope Sony actually does a long conference soon.

Deathloop just looks a little too slow movement wise, kinda killing it for me, the movement is very similar looking to Dishonored and I know people can move super fast with it so maybe it's just a player problem, but I played the Dishonored games very slow and pretty much avoided all non essential NPCs, so I'm not 1 of them and Deathloop seems aimed for them.

I think this is why I'm down on it as well. I love the Dishonored games, but I play them quite methodically. I know people do sick speed runs that look tool assisted, but the gameplay never felt like it lends itself well to that for me. I was hoping they would be iterating on it in a way that made it a lot more fluid.

But this showing made it look like it plays almost exactly like Dishonored.

Literally every possible metric says you're wrong.
Views don't equal interest and absolutely do not translate into sales, lol. I watched it and I'm not really excited by what they showed. Nothing excited me in a way that wouldn't have had they just had standalone trailers released on their own.

I'm interested in Lost Judgement, and nothing else. Not a good show, imo.
So excited for judgment, death stranding DC looks even better than I imagined, and I'm interested in deathloop despite me being primarily an Xbox player. I'd give this one a B, but I could see how people are disappointed though.

Midgar, With Love

But yeah, I dunno. I'm gonna see if I can find out what happened but I probs won't share publicly if I do. I really don't want to get stuck in repeated situations where things get reshuffled and any fellow FF fans take my "this is probably gonna happen" as reason to celebrate and then feel let down, which I totally understand. I was stoked!

Deathloop looks pretty awesome to me, would prefer more Dishonored but I'll take this as a spiritual successor of sorts.

Death Stranding probably was the highlight, hopefully there's an upgrade route for existing owners on PS4 otherwise I'll hold off for a while. Nice to see the updates, but don't think it's worth paying £69.99 for them.

FIST looks like it could be fun, I'll be checking that one out nearer release.

Deathloop, doesn't really do anything for me if I'm being honest.

Otherwise, was an ok State of Play. Always interested in what indie games are on show, but outside FIST not much room my interest in this field

Deathloop looks…ok. I'll probably wait for the inevitable 'Definitive Edition' or whatever on Series X. The rest of that SoP was utterly boring, but to be fair Sony told us exactly what it was ahead of time.

Nobody cares about single player FPS anymore.

Jett looks amazing though, really into that when it comes out.

That was boring, I'm not a fan of these shows that are 10 minutes of one game and some random indie games no one cares about...

I feel like Deathloop should have been the opening game. Having Lost Judgement and Death Stranding DX trailers right before it made me tab out and watch those again

Oh I missed that, good looking out. And actually FIST, Moss, and Sifu look interesting so not a terrible show.
It's very weird to me that Sony is hyping and giving so much screen time to a ZeniMax game though. Guess there's a shooter / multiplayer hole it needs to fill in any way it can.
Yeah, all 3 of those look good. Yeah, advertising it is probably part of the exclusivity deal.

I mean, they told you what will be there. People on here and Reddit, as per usual, hyping themselves up to the moon.

That was actually slightly better than expected, some decent games on show, nothing surprising but they told us what to expect from this, so if you expected big things, that's on you.

As much as I'm not bothered about seeing Deathloop again until I'm playing it, gotta say it always looks awesome.

Death Stranding DC looks amazing, can't wait for that. Moss 2 and Sifu both look great too. Also cant wait for Lost Judgement.

Yeah they keep showing the same one target at his party lol. I understand trying to avoid spoilers, but damn. Kinda lowered my excitement with this demo tbh

Deathloop didn't look bad. But I can't say I'm as hyped for as I was following the initial reveal. Will wait and see before I judge. Prey(2017) didn't show/demo well and it turned out to be an all-time classic. Besides, I exhausted my negativity budget towards Arkane on Redfall. Don't like being mean to them.

Well, that would explain why Sony decided to distance themselves from E3 week, they'd be ran over.
