damn, there's no way I'm gonna be able to play this in VR with a 980 / i4770k is there?
smooth under all events. it doesnt look native 4k though, but maybe I am wrong on this
Hopefully doesn't happen with Epic, but we will see.At least with Steam VR it seems like people having the same problem with the game being rendered at 60 fps (or lower?) while showing 80 or 90 fps in the performance monitor:

This is probably my favorite Star Wars and also my favorite VR game in years.
Been messing around with it whilst using my Rift S and HOTAS setup, it's brilliant. Not sure I'll be playing it in any other way now.

Whilst playing? No. Annoyingly though, the capture does have a few stutters but those weren't present at all whilst playing.

If Epic goes through SteamVR, chances are it's a SteamVR thing. SteamVR is a piece of shit sometimes.
I assume you played on Origin? Maybe there is a problem with the Steam VR version.Whilst playing? No. Annoyingly though, the capture does have a few stutters but those weren't present at all whilst playing.
VR user on PC without HOTAS? Definitely a controller if you have one available as there are plenty of in-game key bindings. As a VR user without HOTAS, what's my best option for control on PC? Keyboard and mouse or controller?
Excited to check this out.
Sounds greatPlayed a little over 2 hours on an Index with a 1080Ti and it seems to be running fine. I don't have any frame data to post but I haven't noticed it chugging or anything like that. Still, I'd love to get my hands on a 3080 or 3090 so I can crank up the SS and make the image a little sharper.
Using an X52 Pro as well and everything was mapped but because they list the buttons as numbers I didn't know what to press for anything. So I just went down the list mapping everything how I thought felt most natural. Also had to invert the Y axis.
This game is what I've been dreaming of for years, I really hope this takes off. I want more campaigns and more MP content.
Yeah, I did.I assume you played on Origin? Maybe there is a problem with the Steam VR version.
they decided to make that change less than a hour away from the planned releaseNorth American release was pushed back to 4:00 UTC, or midnight EDT.
Disappointing to find out right as I was sitting down to load it up for the first time.

Any update on the Epic Games Store release time? The launch megathread indicated midnight UTC (5 PM PST) and I don't see it available to buy on EGS yet.
I don't think I've heard of Steam ever making these calls, especially after seeing other cases of games and DLC releasing early than advertised on the service with no issue."It needs to be made clear that this was not EA's call. Steam made this change at the last second."
From the thread on the delay. Wonder what happened.
