Besides revenue, there's also branding. Pleasing all kind of audience is probably their way to boost their brand, as they badly need it. People tend to underestimate the power of brand and PR, but they're also important tools to boost your revenue. Everything is connected to achieve that main goal.

That is some weird qualifications, normally you just see "fastest selling game in 3 days" etc but "on PC", "Star Wars digital" is really funky.

Hope this is the start of a new road for EA, they have been botching everything the last few years chasing trends instead of leading especially when it comes to loot boxes, GAAS, microtransactions, etc.

I played and finished the game the first weekend, really enjoyed it although its funny I could not tell you a single thing about the playable character other than he has red hair. Makes me sad to think about the 2-3 Star Wars games they killed, maybe they were bad or maybe they just didn't want to do SP games without extra ways to make money and hopefully this shows them that single player games CAN STILL BE PROFITABLE.

This is fantastic to hear.

Jedi Fallen Order is now one of my all time favorite Star Wars games.

Please let there be a sequel! But only if Respawn wants to do it and EA doesn't exert any dominance on them.

This also tells me that Battlefield and Battlefront are way less popular than they used to be.

Battlefield used to be one of the more popular shooters on PC. It feels like it has very little prescence nowadays.

Well deserved. While it's not my GOTY, it was a very enjoyable experience and easily one of the top 5 games of this year for me.

I really dont pay full price for a game, let alone go for single player much these days but this one earned and deserved every dollar I paid for it. Great game and I'm about 85% complete with it.

Good! I just started it, so I'm only an hour or two in, but I'm enjoying it immensely so far; even with some framerate drops on PS4, the game has been enjoyable. I hope we get more games that give us places to explore, whether they're in the Fallen Order vein or skew closer to something like KOTOR.

Sometimes the recipe for success is simpler than it seems:

- Star Wars
- Single player
- Good

I had a great time playing Fallen Order and I really appreciated its lack of bullshit. No online stuff, no grinding, no "it's your job to collect bolts so we can upgrade the ship!" Just a nice fun, straightforward game.

I hope more games like this get to be made, including games where you don't play as a Jedi. The idea of an Uncharted-esque smuggler (revive 1313!), or another Bounty Hunter game are way more appealing to me than yet another Jedi power fantasy set during the Clone Wars era.

Honestly, that's my biggest thing. I'm tired of seeing games and media set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Mandalorian is a breath of fresh air for being set after Return of the Jedi, and I would love to see a proper full game set in THAT time period, or in the period of the sequel trilogy.

these seem like slightly esoteric stats to highlight. i thought the game would do a little better, but it's still probably doing "good"

I ran into so many bugs and my progression is completely broken by a bug right now, which will force me to restart the game even though I'm halfway through.

It's probably the most infuriating game experience of this gen for me, right up there with Anthem.

But it's a fantastically designed game. I really want a polished sequel. Just make sure you give yourself time to finish it, Respawn!

Fantastic game, well deserved. Hoping they learn from their mistakes and start pumping out more well crafted games. And I'm super excited to see what Respawn does for the sequel.

I want Respawn to just get carte blanche and do whatever the developers want to do. They've earned it.
