Amazon pay a lot of money for the show internationally and don't want people to see a trailer advertising it to view on a service that it isn't in those countries.
There'll probably be a similar version with the Amazon logo on it elsewhere.
It would be helpful in YouTube let you put them both on the same link. But they don't.
Jean-Luc Picard would have a beautiful edition of Paradise Lost. Could also be an allusion to the story in season 2.
There had been enough little hints here and there over the past few months that I put all my prediction eggs into the basket for this one and I'm glad it's turned out true. I would have been super-bummed at this point if it wasn't really going to happen.

Eh, Amazon paid for the rights outside the US. There will be a corresponding Amazon trailer that's blocked from the US.

The episode where that time lord sends Georgio back in time wasn't Q. seemed like a missed opportunity, guess they were saving him for this.
I know *why* it happens, doesn't mean I like it. It's extremely irritating clicking on links from startrek.com and they don't work.

On the one hand the relationship between Picard and Q totally makes sense to follow up on. On the other hand that's not one of the top five cameos I would've hoped for. I'm curious how big a part of the season Q will be.
One and done. Though I imagine they'll de-age him for one scene.
Use the same tech they used to de-age Data in season 1. See old Picard and Q snaps his fingers and has the old look.

This was my problem with the show as well. I love Star Trek, I love the Picard character, and the title theme for Picard was excellent... but half the time Patrick Stewart seemed to be playing a completely different character, in a completely different universe.
I don't really have anything nice to say here so I guess I'll just say I'll wait to see how people like the first few episodes. I am not hopeful.
I think the explanation for that was more along the lines of the fact that the story was pushing Georgiou (and the crew of Discovery) to seek a solution. If they'd wanted to use Q they could have just used another continuum member. However, the Q aren't exactly accessible to humans, so it was kind of natural for them to go with something that humans could actually find.
Cool that Q will be back but I have very little hope this season will be good after that first season.
