Star Citizen celebrates its seventh anniversary with an annual keynote presented by Chris Roberts. Prior to the keynote, there will be a full day of panels, exploring current and future developments in the Star Citizen universe. The panels will focus on various development topics such as programming, design, systems, graphics, tech, environments, gameplay, lore and art.​

WHERE, WHEN, WHAT?
  • The livestream begins on Saturday November 23rd @ 1 PM UTC (5:00 AM PST, 8:00 AM EST, 2:00 PM CET) Timezone converter : LINK
  • Various panels across many different disciplines and topics will be held before the keynote.
  • Some interesting things the keynote may show are; new planets and new technology, jump points, new systems, nothing has been confirmed.

Honestly all I want is SQ42. I when 16 and in Secondary School when SC was announced and now I'm 22 and have a job.

Please, all I want is a fun space flight campaign.

I mean, for what it's worth you was 11 when RDR2 was started and 21 by the time it released. It doesnt really say much other than games are taking a long ass time to make when you shoot for an enormous scope. I can get just wanting the SQ42 but features from both would be needed to make that work so they were always going to be developed side by side once the MMO idea was floated

It blows my mind that people still think Star Citizen is unreleased. It's basically an EA game and has been for a while now.

To move away from business practice discussion, I want to ask the fans/followers what the endgame here is? What is the game supposed to encompass when released?

Just trying to see what all this dev time is leading to.

Definitely most excited to see our first implementation of weather on microtech, just wanna see those raindroplets streaming by on the cockpit glass. Seems pretty likely we're going to see our first jump point/wormhole travel too, exciting stuff.

Without getting into the complexities too much it's hopefully going to be a mini universe sim with many different occupations (combat/cargo/exploration/pirate/mining/salvage/repair/science/farming/etc.) Events are going to be driven by AI and players based off an economic simulation (a tiny example is raiders block supply chain for company X, company X sets out beacons to hire escort ships to kill raiders, those ships then hire repair people, repair people restock supplies from resource gatherers)

Which I'd recommend honestly to make a new OT make it nice, and just post news in there. Since basically ERA wants this shit to die, and will I wanna say ignore your posts entirely if you tell them it's released.

I mean its been playable since always and the progress they have made last and this year is incredible. Those quartarly patches add new planets, moons, ships, gameplay features, clothes, features like VOIP etc. yet people say its unreleased and a con. so why do more and more people play it then? its just frustrating that the mods are not doing anything against those inflammatory posts here.

I don't think people want it to die. I just think most think it's one huge pyramid scheme. I'm looking forward to the announcements though.

All I do is report and move on. There's a lot the mods do not do in some specific game threads but really nothing we can do about it. Tho yeah the quarterly patches are gonna be so nice.

I wish this was the case but I've seen posts considering what they are doing illegal, but seriously how can this be a pyramid scheme if it's already delivered, and I dunno about that other Star Citizen post for some reason instead of just explaining that SQ42 had expensive people, they specifically mentioned they were expensive white people to try and spark some bullshit about SC again on ERA.

No it's more like countless bashing on this site, and before this site with the game every time there's a single thread about it, and yet y'all want to push misinformation about this game out. Anyone who's been in game dev would know being public about game development is a tricky ass slope if you have problems during it and you know what RGI has been stupidly.
