I'm on the market for a soundbar, around 699 euros.

I don't mind the subwoofer.

The main usage will be:
  • complement my 55'' Q70R;
  • play games on a PS4 and Nintendo Switch;
  • watch movies; and
  • listen to music being played in Spotify by the phone or laptop.
Thank you for the recomendations :)

If you are not invested in the Sonos ecosystem, i would suggest the Samsung HW-Q70R. Integrates nice with your tv and you have the option to add wireless rear speakers laters on. The soundbar can be found for under 500 Euro.

Costco has a price mistake right now on the Sonos beam for $180. It shows on checkout.

Seems like there's a lot of deals on Sonos stuff going on.

As someone with a £300-ish budget for a sound system, is the beam worth it? It's for one room for gaming/movies and it's got the HDMI-Arc.Or do you need the Subwoofer alongside it?

Everything I've read suggests the beam is good enough on its own for most small/medium sized rooms... Which is what I'm hoping as I've just picked one up! (Gotta love free vouchers, just paid £289 for it!)
