PS5 is perfectly playable with one caveat. It crashes a LOT and when it does it resets all of your game settings re: video, audio, etc

Jesus...what a shit show this has all been, and I'm one of the biggest CDPR fans around.
All I'm hearing is the Curb your Enthusiasm music play over and over when I think of this whole debacle.
The entire game's promo campaign coming back to bite them in the ass years later. This is amazing, lmao.
Its almost unplayable on last gen consoles and CDPR deliberately hid those versions by only sending the PC version out to the gaming press and taking down any online video/stream that showed the game on last gen consoles.
After that they put out a shallow apology and said people should refund it if they wanted but never contacted Sony or Microsoft beforehand to make that possible out of the normal refund process which is limited.
Why would you keep the game? You obviously won't be able to play it if you get a refund.
I'd say the second caveat is the game still looks pretty bad on PS5 compared to the hardware the PS5 has. Just a botched console release all around.
First it got delayed after going gold, and now its getting delayed after launching? God damn.

Doubt that; I'm 90% sure QA is giving them a massive "We f*cking told you so" right now, while not seeing a single bonus and wanting to escape this industry forever.

If that were true, they wouldn't need to take the game down. They don't want people buying this game then turn around and ask for a refund.
They will probably put it back up after the flood of requests or when the game is actually functional.

I bet this wouldn't have happened without CDPR making the statement about refunds. It sort of forced Sony's hand.

About the game itself on PS4. It s clearly an unfinished product that needed a couple of additional months in the oven, but I still consider it "playable" except for the crashes situation ( which is known to happen on every platform). Come on, you can play this game from beginning to end on base PS4, and do all side missions, just with some choppy framerate here and there, and laughable IQ. Sony must be too fed up by the constant request for refunds, that hey just had to go this far..

Man, if you'd said this to me a few months ago I would have thought you were an idiot. Shaky landing? Sure. Literally pulled because it's unplayable? They couldn't release a AAA game in that state.

Yes, once the game is delisted the only way you can buy it on PS4/PS5 is by getting a physical copy
From what I read the PS5 version (upscaled PS4Pro I guess) crashes constantly.
I think the only stable console versions is Series X, Series S (?) and Stadia
Yeah delisting from the digital store for such a high profile release is a big deal.
I can't recall a similar situation where this occurred besides Batman Arkham Knight on Steam due to the PC version issues? Nothing else comes to mind.
I tried it on Xbox. Too blurry (30 or 60fps) popping everywhere ( models , shadow , lightning ). No thanks asking a refund now
Yes. The only games I can ever recall getting delisted from PSN (other than for license reasons) are indie games on a shoestring budget.
Never for anything remotely like a major release.
Fallout 76 was never removed and the performance on that was and still horrendous on base consoles.
I think social media forced them because after you say wait for patches after a game that wasn't out for week and not receive a refund is a bad look also
