I would play thisI had such a bizarre dream
where they rebooted the Killzone franchise but it was directed by Kojima
he was at GG's and then saw that timeline lore (he also had full free reign to change it up)
For those who's been disappointed that Japan Studio has been VR-focused in the past 2 years and not showcasing higher end production, looks like the future looks more promising.

No new details about Blood and Truth until Days Gone is out am I right?
Itching for some news for that who might be VR game of the year

Why does everyone always say Killzone and not Resistance :(A killzone reboot with gunplay controls that of KZ2 but with 60fps low latency precision would be phenomenal. That M82 rifle deserves a multiplayer rematch again!
There was a news that Blood & Truth got rated in Australia.
Maybe we get a launch date soon...

Here's hoping we get that Dreams release date tomorrow. They said they would have an update for us on the 20th.

Do we happen to know how many projects Japan Studio normally works on simultaneously? Or how many people they've got? Curious what sort of output they're capable of.
Lol give up
Oh my... don't do this to me :( People would love to see Killzone die, but for me it's the best FPS ever. There is great potential in the IP and they rushed Shadow Fall for the PS4 launch.A killzone reboot with gunplay controls that of KZ2 but with 60fps low latency precision would be phenomenal. The Korean rating for Project Awakening: Arise would suggest that plans for release are not far off. That said, it is possible that Arise may be a demo or something along the lines of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologue.
I don't really like Layden's stance on "fewer, bigger games", but hopefully that means Japan Studio will have bigger budgets for their games.
I think he meant it compared to older gens, game development time have increased for everyone.I don't really like Layden's stance on "fewer, bigger games", but hopefully that means Japan Studio will have bigger budgets for their games.

Sony first party been stronger than ever (from a commercial perspective), so I think they got the right idea as long as their games continue to have a certain appeal other 3rd party games lack.Things will only get harder and more expensive if you keep betting all your chips on the unsustainable AAA model
I'd imagine they'd want to go big or go home when it comes to a JRPG, and that would require a team far larger than they have at SIE Japan. Perhaps they could team up with Level 5 again?

Estimated to be around 400 people working at Japan Studio, but not all are part of the programming and game design side.
Projects that they worked simultaneously in the past:
2012/13:
2016/17/18:
- Knack
- Playroom
- Puppeteer
- Gravity Rush
Estimatedly, I would say that they work on 3+1 projects at the same time, where it's 3 more substantial projects and 1 smaller project.
- The Last Guardian
- Gravity Rush 2
- Astrobot Rescue Mission
- Knack 2
But if they're aiming for a more ambitious production, I wouldn't be surprised it they're now only working on 2 bigger projects instead of 3.
