Whatever happened to original advertising? Surely with the hundreds of millions of dollars these corporations invest into marketing, someone should have realized that pilfering the taglines of a directly competing service (verbatim) is poor form? I don't buy the fact that this was some unfortunate accident; if you're working in marketing PS Now, you damn well have to know how one of Sony's biggest competitors is marketing their own service. Ya hate to see it

Let them fight. It's a little scummy, but they're multimillion dollar companies. So whatever.

OP I promise it's not that deep. These two ape each other all the time and the industry is better for it anyway

If Sony wants to go all out with aping Game Pass, I won't be the one to complain about it.

I don't know that it's really a big deal, but yes, they did technically use the exact same slogan

Imitation is the best form of flattery. SoP animations look very similar to those from Nintendo Directs too.

But honestly if it benefits us as consumers, it's all good.

It's not that unbelievable to think that they came up with that on their own (not saying the it's an original slogan on its own standards)

I feel like I've seen this as a slogan for other products...

"Discover your favorite_______..."

Not that serious, but the fact they aped it word for word is hilarious.

Ironically using GTAV to describe a great game you haven't played.

User warned: Platform wars
Feels like today's PS Now announcement has resulted in quite a few butthurt XB fans.

I just googled "Discover your next favorite" and a lot of things use this so far. It seems common in a search store type of use.

It's not a completely serious thread, no need to hurl insults. Go ahead and look at other threads the OP has made.

That being said, it is a little weird that they're using the same tagline for their service. Like word to word. You could get the same point across using different words.
