Acc to this agreement, Sony is limiting RE8 versions on Xbox Series X to not run at a higher resolution.This marketing agreement also indicates that Sony is blocking RE8 from coming into Gamepass.

A marketing agreement to prevent the game on specific platforms is pretty common, but limiting a competing console resolution? C'mon. Sony knows too well that if did this and it would become public, it'd create a massive shitstorm.

Don't offer a platform for console-warry fanboys.
