Sony has changed their digital refund policy and will refund any game within 14 days of its purchase based on the applicable terms of service. They are still working on releasing PSN Name Change service for users.

Today is the first day of a new fiscal year for Sony and they are making some major changes, especially with the refund policy. In the past, there was only a one-time refund given based on goodwill gesture and if you claimed it, there was no way to get another refund. They are changing it now to a more user-friendly refunding system which should help in situations when a game is broken like Anthem.

The new changes that are listed on the official PlayStation Website confirm the following terms of service apply for getting a refund based on a game or season pass purchase.
You can cancel a digital content purchase within 14 days from the date of purchase and receive a refund to your PSN wallet, provided that you have not started downloading or streaming it.
Digital content that you have started downloading or streaming, and in-game consumables that have been delivered, are not eligible for a refund unless the content is faulty.
You can cancel your purchase of a season pass within 14 days from the date of purchase and receive a refund to your PSN wallet, provided that you have not started downloading or streaming any digital content (e.g. game add-ons) included in the season pass.

"You can cancel a digital content purchase within 14 days from the date of purchase and receive a refund to your PSN wallet, provided that you have not started downloading or streaming it. "

What? So the second you downloaded your purchase the refund is no more? How does this make any sense?

The part about not downloading the game ruins the whole thing. They should do like EA or Valve and give you a certain amount of time to play the game, under which you can get a refund no matter what.

Also, if I'm not mistaken Valve refunds you to your credit card if you paid that way, which is way better than getting store credit.

I will never forget when I somehow managed to buy a second digital copy of Driveclub and in the process of the refund they revoked both digital licences. I never managed to get it back.
